Just passed over here too although seems the heavier part passed over you. No sleep so far tonight and I'm not in any rush to do so at the moment. Glad I've got nothing to get up for tomorrow 😄

Part of our kitchen hasn't got a proper roof at the moment so I hope the temporary roof the builders put on it keeps the rain out.

Hope the temporary roof managed to keep the rain out, absolutely biblical at one point. Edit, I've just read your latest post 😕 hope it's not too bad!

I've been sat in the car down at Mudeford quay, I didn't really seem much lightning, but I've been hearing plenty of distant rumbles, not worth staying up for though, but it's something I guess.

And finally we have some proper rain.

Well I just answered your question about the roof.

Apart from that it’s been an interesting night even if we don’t get any thunder. Who needs sleep anyway 😆

Me 😂 burning the candle at both ends 🥱😴

Hopefully the builders will sort out any damages, like you said, it was really heavy at one point I guess there's only so much you can do, I'm sure they'll be a few permanent roofs that have leaks this morning

Surprisingly active area of rain, had maybe 5 loud rumbles in the last 20 minutes.

I have long thought that solar input as the sun rises can encourage convection. Perhaps this has happened today.

No more thunder here, seems we were on the Western edge of the thundery activity.

Someone on my Veg growing group in Hampshire has been frantically trying to rescue anything in pots, apparently the garden is like a swimming pool.

Activity is following the coast, with infrequent lightning activity along the front as it heads inland.

frontal rain band is basically right overhead and I’m expecting one last flash before it’s over us and heading off towards west london

rain is pretty heavy, but nothing exceptional

Overhead thunderstorm here in Saldean.

Ongoing for 30 minutes.

Rain rate off the scale.

Some super house shakers.

Wasn’t it just! Like all the energy got expanded in one go! Just wish I had seen the lightning!

Of course lightning pick up to the east after it's passed here lol. The rain is welcome though.

Morning everyone 🙂

My apologies if someone has already posted this, but the U.K. Meto have just issued another yellow thunderstorm warning for today. 🌩️⛈️👍🏻

Out of my area… But good luck to everyone in the warning area who’s after a storm. ⛈️🙂👍🏻
