The convective line is now beginning to show on the Cat + Fiddle webcam, luckily I don't need to leave the house (hopefully) too far to see something over the next hour or two.

Very windy here now and just over 30c - almost as odd as the hot breeze during the heatwave in July last year

The humidity is insufferable and there has been a marked increase in wind speed.

Feeling your pain, I’m just outside of Middlesbrough and sat in my garage with a pipe and beer and I’m literally cascading in sweat.

I assume the storms will be like a squall line set up and move by quite fast

Last 40 minutes here, things are moving pretty quick. 

So far today reminds me a bit of 26th June 2020, also a hot day, with lots of towers going up. Unfortunately all the storms developed north and east of here that day.

Depends, main squall is forming across the west but it looks like some isolated cells are trying to fire ahead of the line, will have to watch.

Staring to rain here in Stockton with some proper big convective drops I’d say about the size of 10p pieces.

doesn’t seem to be increasing in heaviness, I just feel when the sun comes back out it’s just going to add to an already insufferable humidity level.

gone dark suddenly here now though.. and the winds got up..

She’s trying, just had a brief convective shower that lasted all of three minutes huge drops but went as quick as it came.
