As I thought, it's picked up intensity, you can bet your bottom dollar, it'll explode once it gets to the north sea

Definitely going full steam ahead for the north sea. Storms seem to like the north sea here, obviously don't like us south easterners.

Area 51 is calling! It'll probably keep going for 10+ hrs and make landfall in Sweden...

Whilst doubling in size, every 15 mins, once it gets to the north sea, to end up looking like that scene, from the day after tomorrow, when there's 3 huge hurricanes across the northern hemisphere.

I had shotgun positive CG thunder earlier that turned all the power out. Wasn't videoing at the time though.

Several shotgun thunder claps here too, rain has now eased off but lightning still flashing away. Looks like some more might be popping up to the SW too

Its definitely a will it out won't it here in Margate.  As I type though it sounds like some distant rumbles.. blitzortung radar showing storms getting nearer but as quite often here in thanet (where we seem to have our own weather climate lol) ẁe may still miss out..

Managed to get as far as Ashford.  The lightning from this blob thing seen below was briefly frequent but it's died right down now.  Didn't see any bolts though. Going straight home now!

This is what U.K. storm chasing has come to, watching a recording of a recording of a storm 😅

Haha, been doing that quite a lot this week for the storms in Poland Germany and France.

This is the best capture so far from a livestream in Limoges, crawler lightning 2am Tuesday morning.

That’s where I walk along all the time! Wonder who is controlling the camera - it’s a closed off area at night so only thing I can think of it’s some kind of security camera as there was a van along there just now, like they were looking for someone.

Shame it’s panning all over the place as it ended up being a decent storm in the end

Using light paintings to try and get a good idea of the structure. On the back edge of the storm. Seems a mean back structure. Almost looks Supeecellular but that just looks like outflow winds happening to be on the back side.

There isn’t

I saw one, the rest were just flashes. It was a cloud to cloud that happened near my house.
