Hi gang , storm here was much weaker than i expected untill early afternoon, quite an intense 10 minutes of torrential rain here in west mendip . Certainly feeling like Autumn in August  .Actually we had Lancashire Hot pot friday night , ready meal thats been in the freezer too long and it beats sausage Bap Well probably a draw . Take care gang .

Was expecting it to be quite bad here in Swansea but apart from the odd 40mph gust at around 2pm it was actually a nice dry afternoon with plenty of sunshine.

Got a max gust of 17mph at ground level in the garden however I went to the cliffs between Aberporth and Tresaith yesterday and had a gust of 52mph on my handheld anemometer.

There was a small period of time where there were many gusts in the 40's.

Sky news crew should be in Bridlington today doing live reports from the beaches as the wind is absolutely battering the area over the last few hours - gusting to 35 or even 40mph.

Fantastic laundry drying weather as long as it doesn't rain heavily.
