Cumbria always receives snow when unforecast and everywhere else has little, think 2 Dec. We are the most difficult part of England to forecast, our own world..

Maybe let somebody else have some this time 😂

To be fair, I don't think anyone takes the BBC graphics literally, it's just highlighting the potential for next week really.

Call me old fashioned, but I much preferred the old style symbols to the modern graphics anyway.

I can’t believe the beeb have shown that map so far ahead. The low could miss us altogether.

Well it's not the beeb that shown it, it's cold/snow enthusiast Chris Fawkes that has shown it. I do agree though, it will only fuel the media and especially social media and could end up with egg on your face type of thing.

I do like Chris Fawkes as a forecaster though especially with cold/snow on the horizon.

BBC forecast based on ECM 0z op run.

Why on earth would you show this that far ahead?  They showed, a couple or so years back, an ECM 240hr chart that was a huge outlier . Unbelievable.

apologies-just catching up. Don't think I can ever remember snow forecast that far ahead with what looks like at least a degree of confidence. interesting though.

🎵 I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, 🎵

Super tasty charts.  Cold is definite from Sunday onwards, just need the lows to come  with plenty of moisture. Looks good.
