Lucky you! Here, all I got was a couple of brief spells of hazy sunshine but mostly thick low cloud, managing no more than 11.3 C max. Getting tired of seeing people on TV enjoying spring like weather in so many parts of the country whilst still stuck in seemingly eternal autumn conditions. The joys of living between the sea and the mountains, eh!☹️🌫️

It's been a nice day for a change! Crazy to think a few weeks ago we had that snow, today hazy sunshine and a high of 17°C, it felt very nice

oh well cancel the cooler northerlies - seems the highs are gonna take over now - lots of dry and increasingly warmer weather!

Quite frankly, any wind direction will do for me as long it's not a moist SWly. Looking forward to some drier days ahead and the chance to get cracking in the garden. Seems to have been quite a wild day for some, especially along the coasts - Aberdaron 70 mph, Aberporth 69 mph, Capel Curig 68 mph, Mumbles 61 mph, St Athan 60 mph, Pembrey Burrows 58 mph. By contrast, it's largely been a reasonable day round here, just a light shower at dusk and not more than a fresh breeze.

oh well - despite any colder attempts from the north/north east I think spring now has finally sprung especially in the west of the UK - namely Wales

andymusic feels like very early spring, chilly…..  least it’s dry, hopefully sun will come and shine on us soon.

Interesting to note that just in the short few days without over heavy rain, and a keen wind, my plants in pots waiting to be planted out are dry as a bone soil wise…

I wish I could say the same of my rear lawn which has developed a few bald patches, courtesy of the dogs (whose 13th birthday it is today), and where the ground is still very muddy. A dry easterly airflow combined with a few days of strong wall to wall sunshine would soon remedy that!

What a miserable, wet, windy morning this is - again.  This must be the longest winter I can ever remember.  Roll on Summer - Spring didn't seem to happen here and I need some warmth and sunny days.

Sky Full I think the models might be suggesting week 2 in May where the heat might start to seep into the UK - but as is always week two is a long way away and the models may just not be right yet

Today turned out to be lovely.  Warm, no harsh wind, no rain and a perfect day to overexert myself in the garden, which I did with gusto.  Tomorrow my body will react with dis-gust  with me moaning ‘oh’ as under used muscles and sinews creak. Still, emptied out a compost bay, mulched, and hard pruned a privet hedge.  All good! Now to my hot bath and Epsom salts.

No sign of thunderstorms here.  Just another belt of heavy rain leaving dull, misty, drizzly conditions behind, accompanied by a strong breeze to make sure the rain soaks everything, everywhere.   I see that we might be treated to one sunny day next week - I’m keeping everything crossed!   😂

Just to prove me wrong, after posting about a ‘strong breeze’, there is now a dead calm outside - not a single leaf is showing any movement!   That’s one of the fascinating things about ‘the weather’ - its capability to change in the space of a few minutes.  Or is it simply doing this to annoy me…?

 Sky Full  probs……

Currently my neck of woods has yellow warning thunderstorm, yet netweather radar shows rain right darn sarf across sarf Wales.  Currently slightly hazy, a wee bit humid and muggy at @16c but blue sky and that yellow orb in the sky. Right. Off to vote randomly for a police and crime commissioner, the candidates for which all seem a bit?
