Absolutely stunning day, can't wait to crack open a few beers in the garden later! Looks like the rest of the week is going to be lovely as well, may even sneak a 25c over the weekend.

I see from the model thread that it looks like next week will be a bit crap again. Hope they're able to enjoy this week whilst they can!

Finally May has started ‘Maying’ it’s been a lovely day here in the Redhill/Nutfield boarders. So much so, we’re having our first BBQ of the summer in a bit!

 Neilsouth was much nicer today though, finally sunny all day, and felt nice and warm, even though the wind was blowing.

Blimey it's toasty out there in the sun but glorious none the less, already 20.7c according to the local weather station, 25c on the way? 

Get yourself out and about over the next three days whilst you can though, it looks pretty miserable next week onwards.

Good sunny spells, light winds a high of 23C and the northern lights after sunset. Not a bad day all in all.

Saw the aurora and had a nice warm day, probably the best and strangest combo

Absolutely beautiful colours earlier this evening. What a super experience! I have seen weak aurora in Iceland, and Norfolk, but this is amazing to see here in Suffolk. 

As it was at night I didn't realise that I had a dirty lens, but it makes it look like there are night time clouds, and to be honest I don't care at all as I love what I saw and the images I got (here are a few straight out of A7iii camera with wide angle lens, few second expoure, only watermark added, I tend to underexpose at point of shooting to make colours richer).

What an honour to see the Aurora so clearly over Kent last night. A few people said it was better than what they saw when they went to Iceland!

The aurora from my garden in Surbiton at midnight looked light bright vapour trails just about visible in the sky. The camera on my phone picked it up much better.

 Stroudley went for a walk along Worthing seafront yesterday lunch time! It felt scorching with little relief being next to the sea! Think this area will have more of a sea breeze today to cool things down.

Been a sunny day although we now have lots of cloud cover with a few sunny moments.

Today's temperature topped out at 26.3°C   at  14:13

Thankfully it's back down to 22.4°C which is far more reasonable for 12th May
