Temp at Edinburgh Gogarbank is up to 2.4c and the airport is 2c now. Given up myself too

A nice cold dog walk this morning.

The radar looks full of snaw and its slowly heading this way. Will there be anything left in it by the time it reaches my house... looks like we will find out in a few hours....

Light snow just to west of dundee atm

Steady light fine  snow on here at -0.5c  giving a light covering. Sky looked full of snow earlier this morning all round the horizon. Real old school  winters day.

Just had some rain here. Some of the hills in Cowal away from the Clyde have a dusting of snow from earlier.

Precip band currently in north and north west looks like it’s forecasted to travel east/ southeast wards. Tayside / fife/ Lothian’s hotspot for snow later then?

0.3C here with dew point -1C. Just a few small flakes falling and sticking so would take about a day to get a covering at this rate.

Overnight low of -5.6c but no ice day here as surprised to see the temperature has risen to 0.7c and a definite consolidation of yesterday's powder snow.  Drips starting to appear of the roof etc.

You have to laugh they can’t even get this morning event right now they want to dish out amber warnings. They have for my area currently fog! Fog?? It’s the clearest fog I’ve ever seen. Must be the new kind. Fog but not fog.

Urgh - something of a SNAW SHIELD here.. remaining optimistic though..

Don't think any of the models had this down really.. Expected decay by the time things had traversed the Central Belt, but it's a shame that initial pulse did not slam into West Coast and went South, the main pulse know looks right on track to reinforce those who are posting good pics already. Perhaps that red line can get organised and feed in across Central Belt during remainder of today.

Come on, have you seen the wee boy that is employed to clear the snow? He looks like he couldn't lift a couple of big macs at the same time never mind shovel some powder snow!  (I watched him while I was there one day last year with my son after a hospital appointment

Can confirm light snaw has commenced here at Fort SIS.

Ski centres all getting some from the cams now.

As @Scottish-Irish Skier has said the lightest of snaw has just starting falling here... 

The road through the village is all slushy and i can see that turning into a dangerous ice rink as soon as the sun goes down and the temperature drops..
