I will probably take a day or so to calm down after her "childcare o

Books, Books And More Books.....

well today is all about books....hundreds , nay thousands, of the darn things.....80 boxes to be precise...that we have to move when we get the new house! Arrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhh! Now, both me and Mr Roo, being reader-ish types have amassed a huge collection over the years (not counting the ones still at my mum and dad's which I know the minute we get a house, my dad will appear with in a van! :o )....We have spent the last week or so going through the shelves trying to work out if there is anyt

Meteorology, F1 And France

I left Lancaster on Monday 27th June. It was quite a good last day at the University, I got everything sorted and said goodbye to all of the lecturers and students that mattered to me. Inevitably, it was hard to leave the place- I paced up and down campus for 20 minutes before realising I'd miss the train home unless I got a shift on.I wasn't quite as sad to leave as with either of my old schools, partly because I didn't make as many friends there and partly because I know it may not necessari

Sad News

Got a phone call from a friend last night to find out her dad had died  He was a lovely bloke and a wonderful dad and grandad who will be much missed by all his family, especially his wife of 48 years The sad bit was she was saying how a bloke had gone to pick up his grandson from her son's school and the her son said "look it's grandad" unfortunately it wasn't It got me thinking that my son doesn't have any grandads at all, although one got to see him when he was 3 weeks old :o Losin

Sunny Day

Lovely sunny day outside.......so why am I sat inside Because I am being hastled by the auditors from hell I was once an auditor myself but would like to think I was not this anal about things  I did once find a really big fraud though, which was exciting (for an auditor) Just sat here waiting for a report to run and then I'm going to escape into the wilds of Malton for some lunch (I know how to spoil myself )It's a short week again for me. Me and the little fella are off to Scarb

Today we did our first Car Boot Sale Never done one before, it started at 7.30am and we were some of the last who turned up at 8.00am What time do these people get up :o I warned hubbie that people will pounce on the car before you get anything off and yep they did. We had a brass jam pan which everyone wanted but not for any more that £5 We did really well but the things I thought would sell well didn't (toys, kids clothes) Hubbie reckons I have found my true vocation, selling things to pe

21st Birthday- Disappointing

This hasn't been the greatest of birthdays so far, although hopefully that might change with tonight's Extravs. Then again, 21 was never my favourite number anyway, even if it is the most hyped of birthdays. My exam results, due out tomorrow, came out today- and I got a 2-2 degree, so I will find it incredibly hard to get funding for the MSc in Leeds that I was applying for (a 2-1 was paramount). I may have to fall back upon the backup option of getting a job after all, but I hope it won't have

What A Weekend !!

Well what a weekend I had  It was the annual Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) Farmyard Party at Duncombe Park in Helmsley at the weekend. 7000+ Bikers decend on quaint little Helmsley and liven it up for a while :o Personally I really like it, cos it can be a bit dull most of the time. It's always a good laugh, with the coppers turning a blind eye to a lot of things but there is never any trouble and if you saw the market place at 3.30pm on Sunday you would never had guessed they were there

E Is For Extravs, E18 And Exam Results

Next week should be a cracker- lots of Extravs, including two on my 21st birthday! It should be the best week of my time in Lancaster, shame it's the last one, but then there's two weeks in France (including seeing the French GP) to look forward to.My exam results are on the 23rd June- and as outlined in previous entries, I kind of need a 2-1. Today had some exciting thunderstorms, but as often happens, the main storm hit Tyneside and missed Lancaster. Lancaster did catch the western

I daren't look at what I was posting last night... Anyway, took my empty wine boxes/bottles out today. The faeries have been drinking my wine while I'm not looking again...I'm sure I heard giggling in the night. So, maybe that explains it? :o And, life seems to be sorting itself out now. Although a difficult road lies ahead, I can feel my Lifelines starting to come together. I can feel my Lifelines getting ever closer too...

'nother Long Time...

...since I had a ramble on, so I thought you were all about due for another one! No, please come back, don't go! So what has been happening in Roo world? Well.....there is the house fiasco, which is still ongoing (but I have a bit of flu, which is making me less anxious than I might have been...I must be nuts though? Considering moving whilst pregnant...not good!)Talking of pregnancies, all is going well....bump is getting bigger and mini-roo is making it's presence felt (even Andrew co

Exam Eve Nerves

I've never been someone to get all nervous about examinations, I used to be too relaxed and not do very well. This time round I'm scared. Maybe it's because these exams actually count towards something, or that I'm worried about letting my teachers and myself down.Whatever happens the exams start tomorrow and there is nothing I can do to escape them so I may aswell get on with it, I just hope I've prepared myself properly. If I get this wrong I will have a tough fight to get into the UNI I wan

Stardate: 130605

Well peeps...After taking-stock of things, It's now time to take a backseat...Sometimes, in life, we must do what's right. For me just now, the 'right thing' is, I think, to give others the chance they deserve...So, I am here and I'm not going anywhere. And, I take nothing back. :o Neither, do I regret getting 'involved'. 'The road is rocky but it won't be rocky long.' the old song goes: for the one that matters, either road [if it's travelled with honesty] ultimately will have a happy ending. W

Star Date 110605 Pt. 1...

Well, here we are after the non-appearence of Mr Ring's "rough weather". It's fair enough again today... And, Sally (Mrs T) will be back from her sojourn around Ireland tomorrow. I do hope she's had a good time!! No-doubt we'll be discussing it when she returns...I'm looking-forward to seeing her... Anyways, I'm feeling a bit perplexed today. Sometimes, it feels as-if the whole World wants me to be sad and unhappy. When, all I want is for everyone to be contented!! Life's choices have

A Suprising Friday Night

I like spontanious days, yesterday (Friday) was great. until 5pm I didn't have anything planned but an evening on my own in front of the computer. Then one of my friends came round and we jammed for a while, then headed to a friends house, after that we went to a small gathering of friends at another house and sat drinking in the garden with lots of candles until midnight. After that I walked somebody home, had another drink at her house and then rode my bike home, quite difficult when drunk :b

First Entry, Interesting Few Days!

Well, thought I had better get my blog started and work out how it works!! I really don't know what I'm going to post in it or if it will actually be interesting but I figure it could be fun, kinda like keeping an online diary!right now I'm doing my A-level exams, a really weird situation, kind of like a rollercoaster where one minute your fine, feeling confident and the next your just wanting to curl up in a ball on the floor because things seem overwhelming! It's crazy and I just try and have

Unwell

Feeling a bit sorry for myself today. I had to leave work early yesterday with a splitting headache and feeling dizzy (nothing new there)I got hardly any sleep and am really tired today. I decided to take the day off and catch up on a bit of sleep.I've been sorting out little fellas toys and old clothes in the last few days pending a car boot sale in the next few weeks to declutter the house. It's scary to see how much stuff we have accumulated, I have not bought a lot of toys but still they app
