 iand61 don’t envy the roads back in The Dale. Especially with the threat of snow. Would be leaving the car down bottom of the hill by the The Dog tonight if I was still there. One road in, one road out.

yep the entrance to padfield primary school was horrendous. Down a narrow street and an even narrow entrance into the school.  Think I clipped a couple of wing mirrors on a few occasions

 algernon aye, Haslingden Road closed tonight for yet another burst water main.

only the fourth time in a year so a 4 mile detour coming home and probably the same again in the morning.

M66 and and the A56 bypasses are decent but the main roads up the valleys are diabolical and mainly used as training grounds for utility digging and temporary light setup.

never mind at least the snow will fill the potholes in

not weather related but I remember once calling late for work - based in Salford because Burnley Rd to Rawtenstall was closed. Explained that i need to take a close to 15mile detour. They thought i was sassing, nope i just grew up in Crawshawbooth!

 Had Worse  maybe March snow like last year??   maybe end of February but we’re at my mums in Somerset for my sisters birthday in Somerset, Bournemouth game (got 2 tickets don’t tell anyone ) then Luton on the Tuesday after( if we get tickets… they’ll be like hotcakes )  so probably countrywide blizzard for our triangle trip around England

No idea what's going on; it'll happen if it happens etc re snowfall...

 

But temps have dropped here, 1ºC currently and it's gotten very bitter out, very quickly!

 algernon remember a good few years ago digging the car out to take daughter to her weekend job in Bury.

the roads up here were atrocious but I managed to get behind the snow plough down to Rawtenstall.

we got there in the end but not a flake of snow in Bury and daughter got a roasting for being late in.
