A much better day today

A frost on the car this morning at 6.30am according to Mrs Mike57, which was unexpected

Lunchtime ride brought 8C, sunny and winds WSW Force 4-6, stonger than I would like, but a lot better than the last few weeks. Overall quite pleasant

There are still some surface water issues around the area but nothing like yesterday.

Lunchtime today brought lighter winds SSW force 3-4, 7c and cloudy. Forecast rain still hasn't made it to our bit of the country. Local surface water flooding has now gone, but probably only until the next deluge

Lunchtime brought 11c, and S force 3-4 winds. Cloudy with just the odd bit of brightness

Very mild, but not a nice mild, damp, grey and soggy. Looks like there has been quite a lot of rain overnight again.

Barring a sting in the tail another mild winter with only 2 days snow, and places out on Holderness and the Hull area have not had any snow as far as I can see.

Been down to Peterborough on the train today, and coming home the degree of waterlogging in the fields gets worse as you travel home. From Hull up towards home every field has standing water.

Woke up to heavy rain, and still raining, more flooding I would imagine.

How the heck did the forecast go in the opposite direction at the very last minute?

From a dry and mild weekend outlook on Friday afternoon to absolute washed out roads and water courses back at dangerously high levels.

😲😲

Lunnchtime today brought more wind than I would have liked, force 4-6, maybe a bit more SW, but mainly sunny. Still mild at 11c. Overall not too bad.

Looks to be going downhill again tomorrow☹️

Another dreary grey wet windy day. Plenty of rain this morning, all the usual soggy spots filling with water again.

Lunchtime ride was delayed as the rain was due to stop after lunch, when I went out at around 2pm it had stopped, but winds were Force 6-7 SSW, and still 10c although felt colder with the wind.  All over grey with a bit of drizzle.

This has to have been one of the most miserable winters for years, hardly any snow, no proper cold weather, and every week seems to have brought wind and rain.

Colder today, dropped to 4 degrees now from 5 when I got up this morning.  I know snow is possible on higher ground, wonder if we will see any at 210asl..

Another miserable wet day. Surface water in evidence yet again. Many fields have standing water again

Good points, wind had dropped in time for lunchtime bike ride, and there was some watery sun around lunchtime. However the rain was never far away.

Winds Force 2-4 WSW, temp 7C.

A gloomy threatening sky across the Wolds looking W at lunchtime

You've gotta laugh. When it's cold enough for wintry/ snow showers from this wind direction. I can see all the showers passing south to the Pennines. When it's not cold enough(today),we get battered with heavy rain/sleet showers🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😫

I can honestly say, this winter has been one of the worst in my life.

I've detested it. Well, this last 9 months or so tbh. All it's done, bar the odd week is rain.

A much better day today, after early frost it's been fine and sunny with light winds. Managed to cut up and half fill the 2nd wood shed with the pickings from the last couple of months. This will be winter 24-25  warmth.

My hopes for a drier February never materialised. Just shy of 85mm currently. GFS suggests I might hit 90mm by months end, so at least not another 100mm plus month, but still above average. Lets hope for something drier in March..

Down hill again at the start of the week after a reasonable weekend. Lunchtime brought Force 4-6 N winds driving a peppering of showers on shore. Temps at 8c but drops in the showers. Had a heavy shower of ice pellets whilst out at lunchtime. Not like graupel which is white and slightly soft, these were clear and hard. Very unpleasant whilst riding, had to shelter while it passed over.
