Beverley Lass A lot of sea fret here yesterday all day, looked out at about 11pm last night, but a thin viel of cloud and you couldn't see any stars so I assumed the aurora would not be visible even if it happened again.

Absolutely stunning day in Bridlington today and warmer than the weekend.

Some high cloud starting to move in from the west gradually now (after 4pm).

Saturday was really cold and misty , even with sea fog that spoiled the race for the waves event sadly !

Not too bad at lunchtime after some rain this morning. Wind E force 2-4, 14C and mostly sunny. Clouded over again now and I think there is some more rain about

A rather grey overcast start to wednesday in Bridlington with some early rain.

Feels very damp over the last 24 hours and a huge difference to the wonderful blue skies experienced on Sunday and Monday. Hopefully we shall see a return to this soon.

Maybe a little sunshine to come this afternoon also but equally never far away from drizzle or light rain today and possibly again on thursday.

Not too bad at lunchtime for my ride, no sun, but no rain either, and very light winds, force 1 E. Temps about 13C.

Oh well that didnt last long. Horrible at lunchtime. Sea Fret and a near gale NNW wind Force 5-7 made the ride unpleasant. All over grey, visibility at best a couple of hundred yards. Temps 13C but acedemic given the wind and sea fret.

Finally a decent day in Bridlington after 3 days of poor conditions.

Plenty of sunshine as the sea thret burnt off by 10am. No doubt set to return this evening though !

A good day for getting the laundry out to dry for sure.

matt brid Yes it had cleared in Bridlington but as soon as you went up the hill home you ran in to it, and it's been on and off the whole afternoon.

mike57 As soon as that mist/sea fog is back in it goes cold again in a flash.

We need the westerlies of moderate strength to get some warmth in off the land going forward.

Beautiful sunshine in Bridlington this afternoon and temperature upto about 16c in a moderate northerly wind.

Starting to feel more like summer gradually now but at the same time it always seems to take a step back every few days with low cloud or sea fog.

Have a great weekend everyone 😎💥🍻

This May has felt more like June in all honesty. The warmest May on record here has an average of 13.2C and this month is running at 14.1C so far. Despite the occasional sea fret it has rarely been cold. The lowest min is 7.3C which is about the average and only two days have failed to reach 15C. Most have been in the high teens or twenties.

Just 13mm of rain and over 100 hours of sun already. Quite a decent month.

reef 11 days this month have exceeded 20C here. It really does feel like June. We're on 29mm of rain  - 17mm of which fell on one day from a thunderstorm (which is fine by me as if it has to rain, I'd rather it come from thunderstorms than boring frontal rain).

Certainly no complaints here!

Stunning sunny Sunday morning on the east coast but a fresh to strong north / north north easterly wind blowing and gusting to around 30mph.

Excellent laundry drying conditions and pretty decent conditions for the kite festival on the Sewerby cliff tops today thus far - but a fair windchill !

Have a fantastic day people 🪁🌞

Greetings from Jersey, we've had fantastic weather the last couple of days, no complaints, although today is cloudy its still warm enough to sit out for breakfast.

matt brid hmmm, not what Mrs FLT and I found when we arrived on the East coast late afternoon, only mist, murk, low cloud and none too warm. We could see it coming as we approached the moors from a sunny Malton. Hopefully it will clear later tomorrow morning. Indications of a very wet day on Wednesday with rain moving rather unusually East to West during the day.

A Face like Thunder An all too often recurring pattern along the east coast in April and May unfortunately, governed by sea temperature and wind direction.

It was a lovely sunny day in Bridlington itself today but a cold wind nevertheless !

Back on the Yorkshire Wolds this afternoon and its lovely out, plenty of sunshine and warmth, we were lucky to have 4 days of fantastic weather in Jersey without a drop of rain, t-shirt and shorts every day 😎🌞

It's been poor in Rotherham today.

Fully overcast all day, even drizzled a bit this morning. Max temp 14c

Cool and cloudy still now.

Wednesday could be grim too!

Thank goodness for the European Regional Development fund!!!

Without their funding I would not be sat here feeling this comfy after looking at rainfall totals over the coming 36 hrs (Esp. after seeing West Germany/NE France recently!!!)

I feel sorry for all points downstream of Us as we just ship our excesses straight down to them!!!

I'd expect some new places flooding if it does rain so hard, for so long, before the event is over?

Grey here today, some brightness this morning. Lunchtime ride brought N winds force 3-5 and 12C.

Sea fret has returned and tomorrows forecast looks dismal, yellow warning looks justified.
