Mostly wet snow now

Sleet here in Cowbridge, quite big flakes

Was very icy on the drive to work thismorning, some nice deeper snow along the a48. Had a few light rain showers here in Cowbridge (where im working). Think it will be too warm now here and back home in Barry for anymore snow. Glad to see some have had a nice few inches finally!

Everything has gone very icey, I think it was ice rain earlier thismorning, as the thin snowcover in Barry was just sheets of ice on all surfaces when I left for work! The A48 to Cowbridge was very snowy and icy still, deeper snow along there, wasn't a nice drive, be careful out today if you take a drive or walk anywhere.

Yes just cold rain now, snow pretty much all gone now, expect it will be icy out there though!

Got sleet here now washing away our little covering already didn't last more than 3hrs!

He wasn't that far off really, it os only about a 1cm covering here! But still more than I've seen since 2018 so I'll take it lol

Meto showing sleet and rain for here now tomorrow, still trying to be positive but a little worried with the northern extent and impact for us on the coast. Working in Cowbridge at 8am for a 13hr shift tomorrow so should see something down there I'd have thought if it does go wrong here in Barry.

It's currently -0.3c with a dp of -2.1c here in my garden in Barry, looking good for now if it can stay like that!

Im still optimistic for snow here in Barry, despite only being a mile inland and 40m asl, it's only 3.4c - was expecting higher by now. Be happy to see 1-2cm when I wake up for work in the morning!

I like that UKV, has all snow even for me on the south east coast so pretty much everyone bar maybe western costal fringes would see snow I'd presume by that? We can all but hope!

From and imby perspective I won't be convinced of any snow on low/costal areas until within a few hours of the event. This winter has been very poor for the coastal areas. Looking very interesting though the weekend, you'd think somepoint sooner or later something would give for us all lol

Would that still be too marignal for us to get snow on the coast again? As they show rain here

No more rain please, hopefully miss the worst here just like we miss the snow lol. I might attatch a boat to the car just in case!

Warm at 3c been picking with rain for the last hour and half or so.

4c here so expecting any precip to be all rain today

Temp of 1.2c and dew point of 0.0c yet we had light rain. A lot of other winters ive seen that give sleet or snow see what tomorrow brings, don't kniw why I still remain hopeful being on the coast everytime a band of precip moves through, I must be crazy!!

Temps dropped a little here to 1.4c with the fog but not budging much. Im hoping now not to see any precip, I'd rather cold and dry than have any cold rain and then ice. Where's those -10 uppers and a proper cold snowy spell . Still, half of winter to go, hopefully something will come of the ssw for us (esp low and costal areas) after the milder weather supposidly to come!

Temp gone up to 2.2c from 1.9c, still expecting rain here on the coast. Have to go to my parents in Tondu in the morning so hopefully will get to see a bit of snow down there!

Had a nice low of -2.8c overnight, everything has a nice think white frost covering. Still -1.8c. Expecting just rain for tonight as forecast along the coast at just 40m and 1mile inland, but good luck to those a bit further inland a higher up!
