  1. Don't think I've ever heard the words very cold and bitter preceding "westerly wind" usually its mild wet and windy from the west
  2. Must say I agree this was one of the biggest near misses i can remember, and double figure temps are going to feel very warm as we've been used to minus by night and 0-1c by day. But even i start feeling run down with the lack of sun its actually nice to see it today, long as February is good!
  3. In my opinion the BBC graphics were crap-showing heavy snow over a wide area of the southeast including slapping the 2-4cms of snow warning sign over the south of London with Up to 10cm just further north, well at the min it doesn't even look like sleeting round these parts so ill be amazed if this comes off(hope so) enjoy your snow again up north again
  4. So much for the medway snow shield- more like the se London/ nw Kent and by the sounds of it south Essex snow, normal service resumed in Kent with medway&East getting the snow like 9out of 10winters do. North Essex has done so well in all the marginal events this winter jammy. ... . . !
  5. At work in tropical Lewisham, SE London seems like rain only but the lampposts are too far away so can't make out properly if it's sleety rain or not
  6. Me like;-) leaving Dartford for gravesend now and spent some younger years in Cliffe at me mum. I noticed its a lot darker this last half hour and both places I'm in today are within that zone can it pep up a bit please
  7. I Dare not ask what the forecast will be like center parcs in Suffolk when I go in February?! Lol
  8. In December there was the snow event in Cambridge-mid Essex which missed us, the Friday event which was only north of the Thames and West of London, yesterday places south west and West had a snow event while we had 3flakes, Sunday was pretty good consistent light moderate snowfall but due to all the near misses and comparing to recent winters I'd give it a 4.5 out of 10 for our area. I hope February gives us a nice EENE event as we are overdue now
  9. Nothing to do with the weather but oh what the Lettuce!- Just wondered matt are you Fergie in disguise? Now seriously why would you be a manc in the southeast of England I'm a member at Tottenham and go to most home games if anything I feel sorry for you having to travel that far to support your beloved team
  10. While everyone is talking up there inches I'm happy with the 3flakes I saw blowing in the wind that have now stopped!! Lol
  11. Finally flakeage has arrived in DA1:-)) I'm happy at just seeing it falling:-))
  12. Typical in Dartford We seem just too far north and east and you're just a matter of a few miles away!! So frustrating
  13. I feel this is going to be more of a Surrey/West Sussex slapper lol
  14. The West/ south west of London really seems to have been the region to be for snow this winter so far I suppose it evens out as many as winter its either bucks/ Herts when we get a northerly outbreak or Kent&Essex from an easterly- usually occurs more in February from memory, atleast everyone's had some. Goodluck to those in for some tonight I doubt we will get any here just south of the Thames.
  15. We've done really well for our area it seems like only Surrey has got more than us when you add up Friday and today's I guess we must been near the sweet spot so happy:-)) and I wonder what is in store for tomorrow nite: a Kentimetres maybe to top up the untouched garden?
  16. And 14hours later its still snowing thou very lightly:-)) hard to estimate how much has fallen due to the inch we had Friday too I would guess around 5inches in Dartford which would be the 3rd best snow event since 1991:-)) in other news so glad spurs scored in Fergie time against Fergies man ure:-))) great day all around with arsenal losing too;-)
  17. Still going strong here in Dartford biggest flakes I've seen all day and I would guesstimate around 4 inches has fallen! Are we in the sweet spot looking at the 6 and 7,s banded about on here:-))makes a change how much longer will this keep up lol:-))
  18. Confused now as someone from Eastbourne said it's lightening up there now lol, the snow is just getting heavier and heavier here in Dartford:-)) guesstimate around 2.5inches so far
  19. It's definitely more than that kerry! I've been watching it all morning out of my Window we passed a Kentimetre ages ago lol
