  1. I'm visiting a friend in Milton Keynes friday afternoon until sunday afternoon, would you expect a higher chance of seeing some of the white stuff up there again than down here in the snowshield which is Dartford, Kent? Would be nice to see something decent, as have''nt had as much snow as last winter at all here even central London 15-20 miles away has had more this winter!
  2. Thanks for your reply, Im new to this site, as you can probably tell by the amount of posts, I hope the GFS is wrong in that case! we have had less snow than any other region of the south east this winter as I said yesterday!
  3. What do you mean by our turn again? north west as in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and north west London only I'm guessing, when I was at university in Hertfordshire, they always used to do well out of these situations, down here in N/W kent no chance!!! I bet it's sleety rain again!
  4. Well looks like Im spending my afternoon in Biggin Hill then lol! And it seems your right Mr Erith, I don't think theres anywhere thats been worst off for snow this winter in the south east than our little area of kent/se London, and possibly areas just the over side of the Thames. Referring back to my previous post about Central London getting more snow than us this winter, the snow event on 13th January is the best example. I left Dartford for work in the morning and a bout an inch of snow, every stop on the way in to central London on the train appeared to have a little more snow. Bexleyheath more than Dartford, Lewisham more than Bex,heath and so on at Charing Cross I saw the most around 3inches I'd guess!! So I'm guessing areas in north and west London had even more!!
  5. Snow in Dartford I wish!! we've had less snow than even central London this year!! All I've seen up East Hill part of Dartford this morning is sleet and rain, I'm guessing your in a rural part of the borough?
  6. Hi there just got back in from watching a footy game, I'm not sure about Biggin Hill but I was'nt too far away from that area in Tonbridge and Westerham area today and I did not even notice a flake of snow. Twas just drizzly and light rain blowing around there mate! so don't be too disheartened, whats the story on this feature tomorrow morning then and do you reckon our area has a chance of anything settling from it? J
  7. lucky east kent people! yesterday we had 1cm in Dartford from a very heavy snow shower just before dusk that barely lasted 20mins!! although strangely enough when I visited medway there was no snow at all!!!!! So far the most snow I have seen this winter is 2inches!! was in soctland in mid december when the heaviest snowfall fell in North west kent! and was nothing in scotland at the time, due to the cold snap starting in the south east of england, oh well always next year!!
  8. Sounds a good forecast to me! well odd moderate snow shower it is then for me tonight as im down strood way!
  9. So, in other words I am right on the borderline you reckon. Well I live up East Hill, which is technically east dartford but barely out the town centre so 51/49% in my favour perhaps? haha!! Tho tbh I tend to find bexley borough has almost identical weather as Dartford itself.
  10. Wow!! awesome pics! Maybe i should go and see my nan and grandad in swalecliffe!! my grandad actually measures the precipitation amounts for a local company!must be buzzing! If only that wind swung to the ENE as already mentioned like feb 1st-2nd last year!! so that the rest of kent and even London, surrey and essex could join in with the fun!!
  11. Thanks for all the welcomings, I hope we do have atleast a small covering! We actually had a moderate snow shower flurry that lasted almost an hour an hour ago, though didnt seem to want to settle. I suppose its the micro climate effect of beign squeezed between london the M25 and the thames perhaps, areas only a couple miles south of Dartford always seem to see much more snow. Another location Im keen to know of is strood, where il be visiting this evening, any guesses as to what to expect down that way mid to late evening time? Thanks J
  12. My first ever post on this forum, after many months of following these forums. I just wondered what the chaces of us in NW kent (Dartford) my location, are of seeing some of the white stuff possibly fall this evening? we seem to have had the least snow this winter, when area further north, south, east and west have had more than us at various times in december and january.
