    My friend who moved to Lowestoft, Suffolk is reporting heavy snow showers and thunder snow! Must be exciting

    With the exception of parts of Surrey/south London most people seemed to get more snow on the November 10 streamer event it seemed, although the Feb 09 event was great as it had been so long since anything like it had occurred in many areas! I remember 2010 being in awe at the continuous snow and i remember there begin short time upgrades to the longevity which was really exciting at the time, hoping for more of the same once we get the easterly flow in place at the weekend:-))

    Interesting to read and understand about these streamer angles! In February 09' we had only half of what we had in November 10', I thought they were both from ENE streamer flows but the November 10' streamer lasted longer? Correct me if I'm wrong I seem to recall having around 6-7inches in 09 over one night but 10' seemed to go on for over a whole day and thus resulted in over a foot of snow here in Dartford

    The BBC London weather girl said it's going to be powdery snow she then Went on to say it's not good for making snowmen lol!;-)

    My phone app says were at 4c what's going on? I thought this was meant to be an ice day lol even bbc national showed 0 in London

    True actually! Perhaps that's why there's a greater proportion of elderly people that retire in the eastern portion of the region;-) the old folk know all about the weather conditions one of reasons my grandad moved to the coast actually he used to hate the snow working on the farms inland!

    My heart tells me I hope this is right for health sake- How much have you had this week? Thought you easterners would have been bored of it by now I feel sorry for my poorly grandparents who live near Herne Bay for their sake I hope it doesn't get more snowy as they won't even be able to go shopping for essentials :-( I know how much us youngsters love it though

    The BBC were generally right about the snow north snow sleet and rain south event Monday so based on this I'm going for the snow line to move slightly East and cover more of the region as the latest forecast showed:-))

    If the latest bbc forecast it just saw with nick Miller is anything to go by then your map will have definitely underestimated the snowfall risk!! Had widespread snow from around late morning right through the afternoon for most of the southeast he even mentioned it being "heavy snow"

    You sure we've still got a hard frost and no sign of it melting here in Dartford vs the road? Is your thermometer in direct sunlight? You should be 1-2c colder than this urban location

    My friend who is having an interview in Dartford just phoned me up to say there was a ten minute snow shower fairly heavy a short time ago?! I'm at work in London

    No! Not again :-(( but ill make judgement nearer the time and hopefully it will atleast in part fall during the colder parts of the day

    It will be like an 80s winter if we actually get the snow and not just the forecast for it with it turning out like Mondays sleety mess for half the country lol fingers crossed

    Wow I wish we had that problem to discuss! I'd be happy with 2cm right now! Just enjoy those in the East of my county! And fingers crossed the rest of the region can join you by saturday

    What doesn't add up with Peters forecast was yes he initially said snow to rain but he ended on mentioning the snow on friday nite is "the start of it for the weekend" sounds a bit confusing

    Probably too late to say this but anyway why not lighten the mood- Well bbc London were pretty confident heavy snow overnight Friday and didn't show Saturday but said that's the start of the snow for the weekend lol

    Not fair:-( send it this side of Kent not seen a centimetre so far this winter its ridiculous

    And just as frustrating for me as all I keep hearing is "Kent will get snow" I look it up to find it will affect everywhere except my part of Kent! Yesterday north London Herts mid and North Essex etc had snow as they also had in December! And heavier warning for snow to the west of the region comes off it will feel like the snow is trying to avoid me:-(

    And the one night I'm not at home in Kent but in bloody Lewisham working! Typical!
