Could it be those showers in the Hull area that are said to be coming down to the north/east London area on BBC forecast or is this wrap around going to suddenly move more West? Seems north Essex has been the place to be so far this winter lucky gits! ;-)
-
Isn't medway the most densely populated region in South East outside of London? Perhaps warmed by close proximity to estuary and also due to no snow cover unlike north of the region? If we get a good East to North easterly then it usually becomes one of the snowiest regions!

Bloody typical had snow melting earlier and now I'm at work in Lewisham overnight will there be any do you reckon this far in London?
-
Because tonight were expecting a nice lot to come down here too possibly

So in other words my area is 50-50 for snow/rain? As I'm as far north west in Kent as you can get, if that's right then I can see Essex Herts bucks and North London doing well :-)- 739 replies

Well I'm in the least favourable spot in Kent for snow)-: unusually in these situations we get nothing yet places as close as 10miles south east of here Get a nice covering, medway normally does well as does Maidstone area. Roll on next week's Thames streamer;-) that would then affect much more of the region

Does seem to me that it seems now a case of roll on Monday night for the first proper snow event for the majority of the region, even my location in North West Kent looks too far north on the latest bbc forecasts, a light dusting at best for mid Kent South Kent Sussex Surrey etc it seems. Roll on Monday. . . -

@Crepuscular ray How very dare you call the ESE streamer the Dartford dump, lol it makes most the surrounding towns look nice believe it or not! and for the record I'd say we're more a Thames streamer ENE profiting locating ala Feb 09 bingo and then November 10' :-) -

Not only does there appear to be uncertainty around the general synoptic outputs, but after the freak snow fall we had in the South East prior to the failed easterly when the whole precipitation band was forecast as rain with sleet on the hills possible, who can really rely on the precipitation models at this far out either? -

Just got back from "my local shopping centre" Bluewater, I could have swore that they have had a light dusting of snow, and not just frost, everything that did not have car tyre marks and footprints or melted looked a bright white and soft, unlike everywhere else I've been to today, very Christmasy:-)

All I can hear is drip drip coming off the trees on to the ground and my head! Reminds me of a melting snowfall yet this time I've not actually seen any snow )-:
