  1. Rain to snow event for west areas on that. We know what comes next with that ridge.
  2. Here comes the potential slushmaker in the 18z FI. Let's see if it has had a good time at the pub
  3. Dam! you got the photo of me on New years eve too! It is interesting....
  4. Incorrect, contract extended until March after frustrations with Tender agreements. Let's get back to models with the GFS 18z now rolling out....
  5. Well my feet do get cold.... I'm waiting for the 240 for maybe a hint of change....
  6. Another essential run pahahahahahaa!!! I'll be watching that GFS trend closely....
  7. I am literally waiting for that Low to shift it's backside out the way, then I think we know what is gonna happen.....slide into that gap after the LP has cleared....
  8. Another crucial set of runs coming up later this afternoon then Is it bad that I’d prefer a NW incursion to a Easterly? Models are still up in the air between cooler weather and mild weather imo
  9. Ok ok it's the pub run, but again the question is...WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?! Tune into ECMenders tomorrow at 3:30-4:30, 5:00-6:00, 6:00-7:00, 9:30-10:30, 15:30-16:30, 17:00 -18:00, 18:00-19:00, 21:30-22:30 Now if that isn't a duff duff I don't know what is....
  10. Who is ready for a crucial set of 18z GFS runs?! It would be ironic if it turned it around
  11. GFS is now sorta saying erm maybe I was wrong, but maybe I wasn’t hmmm what am I? MORE RUNS NEEDED ???
  12. I’m sorry mate, but did you REALLY expect far Russian stretched Easterlies? Events that don’t happen hardly ever?! The EC looks so very different, and we aren’t down and out yet. specsavers (or any other optician) is down the road, past the bins on the 3rd right
  13. Just a note to say you do NOT need to have -5 upper air temps for snow, evaporate cooling as well as dew points can also aid snow....famous snow falls I have had in 2013 for example had upper air of -3 Lets see if the GFS shifts it’s chip on its shoulder
  14. Another ECM standing its ground and that high looks strong and stable
  15. Oh really, did you all expect -10 uppers and a new Arctic? Course there was going to be some moderation on this cold snap. It’s better than Zonal, I think the UKMO does represent the realistic middle ground
  16. That's a very big statement to make, we shall find out soon! I am a coldie, but always expect the unexpected. That's what I have learnt in my 23 years of being alive so far
  17. Please don't do this now...especially on a EUROPEAN CENTRE MEDIUM WEATHER FORECAST model here comes 240 at any second....and breathe! I wonder how many will be staying awake for the pub run.
  18. I am currently waiting for the aftershow on THAT ecm......I also showed my parents in excitement (I'm 23 years old, I should be able to contain myself!) Differing opinions for sure this evening, but from what I have seen a halfway solution still isn't likely to be resolved until the weekend in my honest opinion, remember these situations do not happen very often so it makes them even more unpredictable to model let alone forecast in the short range.
  19. starting to turn to snow here, evap cooling is at play
  20. Well what a period of model watching! More exciting than the Eastenders Christmas special! I fondly remember the GFS picking up on the December to remember back in 2010 (I used the excuse to go to the loo in school, whilst waiting till the end of the model run to go and see what it had churned out on the computer!) It is still too early to call the (cold) shots, but I think we may have to accept that a pattern change based on model output and more professional posts on here is likely around Christmas/post Christmas - New year. The question is when, and how quickly this takes place? Join us again for a future episode of more tantalising questions that we don’t yet have the answers too....
  21. With winds in a N direction don’t rule out precipitation today in the West. Pembs dangler May form...
  22. I'm hoping winds swing to the North in time for unexpected surprises in the west.....
  23. I'm happy that its dry here. More chance later Never underestimate the Irish sea.....
  24. yay!! I'm going to go outside with a hairdryer and towels and dry everything within a two mile radius off! (All the twiglets have gone! - Sorry guys!)
