  1. Glasgow Airport dropping back off again from 8.3c to 7.7c just now, but DP heading up.
  2. It's the End of Days. See you all on the other side....
  3. I called the Red Warning yesterday. Stay safe if you're in the affected areas...
  4. I'm glad someone else mentioned this - this morning's drive really was the worst driving conditions I've experienced in Scotland (aside from snow) - just horrible.
  5. That's tomorrow? "Chance of isolated tornado" U WOT MATE?
  6. That's me @work - the roads are really horrible, and definitely a case of put your journey off until later on this morning if you can...Opposite Braehead on mate, got caught in a massive gust of wind and what seemed like someone pouring an entire swimming pool onto the carriageway - every single car slammed their brakes on as none of us could see anything... new pants required I fear. Be careful.
  7. Gusting to 40-50mph here just now and absolutely horrific outside. Not looking forward to the drive to work
  8. HC - nothing's changed in the several years we've been here. Nothing - that lot could have a fight in an empty room I'm not happy, in fact I'm quite sad.
  9. I think the warnings for tomorrow between 6-9 may get upgraded again - it wouldn't surprise me if they bring in a red warning given it's peak driving times for many.
  10. Got to say, looking at Monday - it doesn't look very nice...and neither for that matter does tomorrow
  11. Can we all not just have the Kilties meet up in the MT ? God knows, most of them could do with some cheering up ** ** anyone south of the Midlands that is.
  12. Just driven from Stirling to Glasgow - that is not very nice driving conditions - the amount of surface water makes for some scary episodes. With relation the the GFS and the snow "event" on Saturday, to be fair to it, it's had that modelled since Saturday/Sunday so is clearly sticking to it's guns. Still think Friday night going into Saturday, something a bit special is on the cards (not really basing that on anything scientific, more just a rumbling in the tummy and intuition...oh and not necessarily snow either) Be safe outside if you're driving.
  13. Is there? There was a very brief mention yesterday, but that's gone now with the latest release of charts...
  14. Holy Moly. With that low and the jetstream directly over us...it really will be a case of "batten down the hatches".
  15. As Rav says - I think they're clutching at straws, they've no more of a clue than the rest of us. My LRF for mid-end Feb? It'll either be cold, or, it won't. Put money on it. [edit] - MO have rain warning out to Tues/Wed already - they must be really worried. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=warnings&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1453766400&regionName=ta
  16. Urgh, Urgh and thrice Urgh This mornings charts make for horrific reading, unless you're a mildy and love the rain. Just horrendous.
  17. Oh My God - that was the scariest drive into Glasgow this morning that I can remember. Absolute idiots screaming down the outside lane over 70mph, hitting huge puddles then aqua-planing across 2 lanes. Speechless.
  18. How come the Netw forecast for today/tonight is showing snow for central areas? As far as I can see, it's going to be a relatively dry day with (if anything) little ppn?
  19. ^ not clicking on that link after the last few replies.
  20. And, it's Goodnight Vienna as the slightly above average weighing person sang.
