  1. I give up. I've now brought out all my summer clothes. I'm confidently predicting that there will be no reason to not be wearing shorts and tshirts going forwards...it's depressing to see that the Stirling Snowshied has been upgraded to include the Anti-Cold function. Nice to see my council tax being spent so wisely.
  2. My enthusiasm over this latest blizzard that's not happening in Stirling, is, I'm sorry to say, underwhelming.
  3. "Complex Setup" = nowt but mair pish n wind. [edit] - Is Nathan Rao really Powell in disguise ? With a zero % strike rate, you'd think he'd be looking for better sources...today it's 8inches of snow and -10 deg freeze.
  4. You know it's bad when there's no updates from BUS
  5. Nathan Rao needs to get better sources - the infamous Mr P from vantage is quoted in today's Express as Well, Mr P, which is it ? Beast from the East, or as you said YESTERDAY, Hell from the West..... <sigh> no wonder the British public can't get a grip on the weather.
  6. Happy New Year fellow skirt wearers Hope 2014 is brilliant for all of you !
  7. MO have updated already this morning for Snow warnings today.. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ta/ta_forecast_warnings.html 0700 update ! oops = yellow snow ,,, too early, I need my coffee
  8. Gusts I'm not as worried about - however, SUSTAINED 78mph winds...that's officially a category one hurricane. NOW I'm getting worried.
  9. Permission to call the incoming meto chart "Hurricane Willy" please sir. Ah'll get ma coat
  10. That was the first night in a long time the wind has woken me up. Got up all panicky.... Went downstairs..... Into Kitchen.... Opened back door.... Gingerly peered outside.... THANK GOD - The Sky dish is still up.
  11. Has/Did anyone see the headlines in the Express ? (apologies if posted before).. http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/448115/Christmas-weather-forecast-Winter-storms-warning-as-snow-gales-and-floods-threaten-UK The Apocalypse is coming. © Express Journalist 2010 2011 2012 2013
  12. I'm more interested in what's coming on Wednesday....
  13. M 80 was rubbish this morning - outside lane ungritted, and idiots in white vans deciding 70mph+ speeds were okay. That aside, Stirling saw about 1cm of snow - however about 0.5cm of that looks to be frost. Very much a case of incoming showers seeing the Castle, and yelling, "Left Wheel Chaps, Left Wheel"
  14. It's coming through Stirling as rain.....what gives ?
  15. Stirling Blast Furnace in full operation. Wait till I find out who stoked it this morning. Grrr
  16. Just in from the garden. Excellent sunbathing weather just now. Managed to cram 10minutes of sun worshipping in before the next wave of sleet/rain/snow/hail/bullets/mortars came thundering through
  17. Pheeeew - it's baltic outside. Sneet coming down like flaming bullets....i
  18. As usual - BBC Scotland's first of the morning, has played down today's action - confining it basically to areas west of Glasgow...
  19. Holy Bejesus - that's windy. Several flirtations with the hard shoulder as the gusts pummelled me driving down the M80... I'd be really worried, if when the snow comes, the wind is stronger, driving on a motorway with wind as high as that coupled to a blizzard, is not good. If you're driving in the central belt tomorrow - please take it easy - better you get there late, than not at all.
