  1. Was @frightfest in Ra Weej last night, and drove home around 0100... That's possibly the windiest I've ever driven in, some of the gusts actually pushed my car over into the next lane...thank god it was early morning otherwise I'd have had no chance.
  2. You lot are guaranteed a dumping on Monday. I'm in Bristol. The Effect of Sod in all it's saff Englund glory.
  3. Nice little snow risk for Friday very early am - 850's dropping back below 0c, though maybe just a little bit too marginal.
  4. This time next week, posts on this thread will be rarer than the Snaw we huvnae hud.
  5. Currently -6c here, temp rose +1.5c around an hour ago, but then dropped back to -6c... Hard frost, and absolutely bitter outside. DP -7c
  6. Wow - latest warnings for tomorrow calling widespread snow for everyone.
  7. Bridge of Allan just up the road, DP dropped to -9.3c with a +2c temp. Jeez
  8. The MO warning still seem to be the same here - last updated yesterday ?
  9. Stirling temp is around 4c just now, interestingly though, DP is dropping away quite quickly, currently below freezing.
  10. Yeah - noticed that - they've updated it from earlier - Stirling wasn't included before, and now the area is..
  11. Quick question: Which model has proved to be most accurate this winter, also, at which timeframe (obviously > 24hrs out !) Rather than pick the one which looks the best in terms of IMBY, is there one that's stood out as better ?
  12. "Mild" should always read as "Milder"...which it probably will be.
  13. Nothing more for here, but it is cold and frosty outside, despite the temp showing as 3.2c GFS Ens showing a decent return to even colder weather into Monday & Tuesday, and extending out for at least another 7 days or so... The talk about the easterly though, the only worry for me would be is there enough of a cold pool to reach us, or, can it pick up moisture from the North Sea...interesting times ahead, I'm happy with the cold to be honest...pretty sure this time last year, we were sweltering under mild air !
  14. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/observation/rainfall-radar#?map=SatelliteIR&fcTime=1422507600&zoom=5&lon=-4.00&lat=55.50 It does look like it takes a definite eastwards push on the last couple of frames.
  15. I get the impression it's going to miss us (well, Central parts) and skirt down the western side through Glasgow...
  16. There's a band heading down across the country - I'm presuming with the temps & DP's coming up, anything that falls will be sleet/rain ?
  17. Stirling and Grangemouth did, so fingers crossed for n13. I fear for his sanity if Falkirk missed out
  18. 3cm here in Stirling, side of house plastered so looks to have been blowy ... Radar showing some activity heading towards central belt, timing puts it around rush hour...
  19. Nobody picked up on the warnings for Saturday and Sunday ?
  20. Temps here in Stirling went up to nearly 3c but have now dropped back to 1.4c with -1c DP, so it's all starting to come together. It's certainly been off and on with snow all day, just not lying.
  21. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/observation/rainfall-radar#?map=SatelliteVis&fcTime=1422409500&zoom=5&lon=-4.00&lat=55.45 Plenty out west.....
  22. What's the feature I've circled ? Lots of showers incoming though...
  23. Surely they need to be looking at a red warning for the M 8 corridor for the rush hour ?
