snow coming down faster again, think this is the one guys

there is still gonna be a lot of snow forming later on too, its not just this main ppn what is sitting over the n-west and parts of yorks

yes they seem to be getting bigger and merging. what i have noticed that a certain porportion of west yorks is always in an unlucky area for snow and keeps missing the best formations of the snow same as last night, i saw the radar and it seemed there was always a small gap in between the showers that kept missing certain parts of the county. i think its my area, but i think its about to change soon.

snow getting intense again. by todays out we could have similar depths to febs snowfall especially on the grass

Yes i agree i saw the radar and it looks brilliant for us. will make up for last night. The snow cover we have now should stick around and the snow on the way will give a nice huge covering like the pics we saw in north yorks last night.

That snow is heading more this way. I think we will get snow today and could get a number of inches, look at the beebs graphics, they are pretty good for us. i wouldn't be surprised if west yorks got a lot of snow today though.

This is ridiculus. All the weather warning today are for the northwestern parts understandably, but no weather warning for w.yorks. How on earth can they not put any weather warnings in force for here, they have warnings for the far southwest, but yet not here and we could see more snow here than we saw yesterday. If anything the far southwest for example would miss most of the snow!

yes, if we cannot get much from this setup, im sorry but i cannot see something like the gfs charts for xmas day coming off. i can only imagine drab rain. yuk im so so depressed atm, i cannot believe it are here comes snow again!

this is disgusting its raining, and then i look at ecm and that is all gone tits up. the most depressing weather and eveing since this cold spell was firmed up and since it started. it feels bloody awful to look at rain falling on my snow edit: snow falling moderately now, but doesnt make me feel much better, still isnt good. oh edit once more its sleetish again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope it all melts, nothing worse than a slushy fest. once it melts it can give way to more 'expected snow' if we even get it. makes me laugh band of ppn expected to be snow sweeps much of the north and really has been an utter utter piece of crap

really awful here, its a mix every so often and nothing at all exciting now the roads are soaked and the paths are just gonna go all icy. very drab and doesnt feel much seasonal atm

its starting to become more snowier, but i cannot see it being much. terrible forecasters and charts

im so annoyed its ubelievable, its raining, then snowing then sleeting. wth is happening. it will end up being too wet and any remaining snow will go really slippey and icey. plus the ppn front will have crossed soon. omg !

i dont get how people would think this would bring a white christmas, all the precipitation is on the southcoasts and it wouldn't be hardly snow there anywya. take a look at the preciptitaion charts to see. if the preciptitaion chart is right and the set up for xmas day according to gfs is correct , obviously there would be a lot of changing there would be no snow even with that low in postition like this here. http://209.197.11.11...67ddc2be8d2bf30 and no snow for yorkshire either

off topic, but what is the coldest temperature ever recorded in leeds? surely a -19?

its looking very good for us yorkshire folk. heavy snow showers thurs, fri. if anything could we see organsised snow this weekend. also sub zero days, ice days, frost. what more could you ask for. pennines could get some large amounts of snowfall.

you make it sound like just a newcastle, geordie event. there is yorkshire too and also the pennines. well i know its not in the northwest. so what region is it in?

i agree and all the mild weather gets shifted further back all the time. take this gfs run for instacnce the very end starts to just get a bit milder. also it is very unusual for us to be still looking at so many good set ups of cold and snow etc for about 2 weeks on since this cold spell ws being hinted at, very unusual, only mild weather i have seen has been in deep fi and even barletts what have showed get knocked back further down the line. it has been almost 3 weeks now of seeing so many cold runs its pretty unbeliveable and encouraging.
