    Even though we basicly missed out on storms here in the southeast last night i now know how it feels to live somewhere north of london when the SE are predicted large thunderstorms and areas further north are not.

    I personally dont see much happening with these homegrown storms because of the fact they are home grown. Because of the size of the UK by the time a cell fires up its washed out at sea, i do hope though for the people that havent seen a thunderstorm so far this year that they do see one, but thats just my personal opinion. I hope im wrong

    3 Lightning strikes have been detected within the irish sea, about 20 miles from the coast of wales. No percip has been detected in the area of these strikes

    I own 2 lightning detecting sites within the UK (Manchester and Dover) they are private but i will share any info with you all on here tonight. Currently there is no lightning activity within the UK at the moment of writing this. as soon as there are i will post location and strike type

    Now looks like that line of showers in east kent have basicly gone, our eyes now turn to the north for the next batch of snow tonight.

    I know there seem to be many questions on here tonight so excuse me for adding to these How much snow is Folkestone forecast to get and will there be any snow for this area on saturday and if so what time ??

    Am i right to suggest with this set up and the mildish north sea eastern england and the south east could see some lake effect snow but the only difference is it will be coming off the north sea ??
