andy sounds like your having a ball! your high up - winds blowing down here but not major at moment. covering of about 2 cms in an hour or so, so its pretty intense precip.

yep simple solution - do not go. RED warnings DO NOT TRAVEL UNLESS NECESSARY - work unless your key service takes a back row seat in my opinion. We do medivacs by helicopter for government, oil rigs and travel companies, but we took decision to grounds aircraft and only skeleton staff working overnight today who in fact slept in the office. Think safety is paramount if anyone is even thinking of driving in the next few hours then they are putting themselves, the public and emergency service at risk. Just my opinion.
