    good news at last to report, been snowing lightly here all morning with odd heavy showers. not sticking, but sticking 100+ metres on mountain. location A470, upper boat, pontypridd. from what i am reading this is likely to fizzle out shortly, can anyone confirm?

    ah well i give up now - no chance of snow for us here A470 between nantgarw/pontypridd, although andymusic had some and also ynysybwl which is only very short distance away. night all, catch up tomorrow, look forward to some better models tomorrow.

    blinking hell snowy im just off A470, upper boat and we not seen a flicker of snow. really goes to show how a few miles and height are affecting things. good on you guys, good luck overnight with any more.

    well its looking a bit more optimistic for nearly everyone at 9pm tonight! temps falling now to 3 degrees (at last!) heavy sleety rain now. im definitely lamp post watching tonight! on call anyways. location, A470 upper boat, pontypridd

    i have officially given up hope now! its not raining hard enough for anything to change to snow even if temps do drop. been steady 4 degrees all day no change.

    just been checking all of south east wales traffic cameras, and cant see to seem any precipitation at the usual spots, ie dowlais top, storey arms. obviously radars playing mind games LOL i think best chance is after 5/6pm today.

    yep exactly andy is only about 2 miles from me, i am on a470 just behind tesco, upper boat!! at least i can give some updates on what the road conditions are like! certainly hoping for something, good luck to everyone.

    yep as i note above welshwizard, glad you saw it as well. EDIT he did mention though some un-certainties about where will have mmost snow.

    itv weather forecast for wales @22:40pm - david wright has said up to 4 inches of snow tomorrow for south wales. continuing into monday, once snow clears it will get even colder later into week.

    yes bbc forecasts are quite disappointing, along with channel 4 news forecast, just showing rain for most of Wales.
