I probably won’t be on here tomorrow unless something interesting happens weather wise.
So a Happy Christmas to all on this vile, balmy, drizzly night.

Actually quite an odd day today because there were some decent sunny spells between extensive, frequently drizzly, Stratocumulus.
-
Moony spells tonight.

This has been quite the windy week! I have dried washing (well 90/95% dry) on the line 6 days out of 8!

Needed my sunglasses driving from Trowbridge to Warminster an hour ago !

Sun alert. Lots of cloud but it’s shining!

Not even a glimpse of the sun. Too much low cloud after the rain. Bet it’ll be perfectly clear in an hour from now!
-
Today has ‘slow frontal cloud clearance with clear sky after sunset’ written all over it!

Two very rare incidents stand out in my mind…
1.Witnessing locals ice skating on a frozen flood in a local field in January.
2.The closest lightning strike of my life on the afternoon of Friday 25th August.

Well it was different today, the brighter skies occurred early on then it was dull and gusty.
-
It was dry enough to get the bedding 90% dry so that’s ok.
Clearest looking sky of the day now, as it’s practically dark! Naturally!

On the back of every forecast, app and chart indicating a similar day to yesterday I have got all our bedding washed and on the line/airers.
It is now drizzling !!!!!
Of course!
Nothing on the radar!
Hateful!

Same here, nothing on the radar but been mainly dull and drizzly all morning. Still patiently waiting to see a bit sunshine before it sets again around 4pm.
It’s cleared soon after 13.00! Hooray!

Just walking in the door at home after driving through a few downpours and there was loud thunder!

Looking forward to midweek onwards when it looks like settling down.

It has been very gusty, surely gale force plus gusts, since the frontal clearance around 11.00!

Have not been able to get on here since early yesterday. All kinds of error messages.
Then this morning I had a message about a post being moved to this thread.
Does seem daft starting a new thread for the last month of the year, why not wait till 2024 to start a new year!It was because of technical issues with long threads.

Looks like my son's football could get postponed this weekend in the new forest.
That'll make it 3 games so far this season.
Adults or children’s football? My team Westbury United are due to play in the New Forest at Bashley this Saturday.
There’s a few of us in this thread with involvement in local adult leagues.

Well when the sun came up and was shining brightly around 08.30 I was hopeful of a fine day.
Gloom, mist and fog prevail since soon after that!
So little sun recently, even on the dry days.

It absolutely was on our holiday in North Wales. 9c on the car thermometer in early/mid afternoon!
