OK then I'll go first :idea: A DRY DAY TODAY - the first of October. Windy and warm with sunny spells - some fast moving cumulus and cirrus. 18c max. A clearish evening with temps now at 14c. Should be a halo round the moon tonight if this cirrus stays around.

Didn't stay dry yesterday - had a heavy shower at 1900ish. More rain this morning - now 7 days in a row it has rained!! Sunny and windy afternoon and temps at 13c max. Hope the wind dies down for footy tonight!

Today - windy with hazy sunny spells and chilly at 12c currently which is as high as it's been. Will it stay dry right through :?:

Min of 1c this morning with a slight frost. Clear and sunny all morning but quickly clouded over after lunch. Max of a chilly 11c. Had some showers this evening and radar shows a spell of rain to come. 5 days in a row it has rained now - the first time since I have been taking readings and recording conditions (started in June) :shock:

Min of 13c last night. A humid misty and drizzly morning. Clearer with sunny spells this afternoon and max of 17c. Stunning sunset with decaying frontal cloud and temp still at 15c.

Mist and heavy rain this morning. Briefly sunny this afternoon but now showery this evening. Max of 16c today.

This tropical low thingy that Stephen has mentioned in other threads is certainly giving me an odd days weather... ...very warm feeling and hazy sunshine till about 1400, 19c max! ... quite a brisk east breeze that is not at all cool ...clouding up now but the rain is only inching northwards onto the south coast according to the radar so I wonder will it get to me 60 miles inland?

Min of 10c last night, light showers this morning otherwise hazy sunny spells but much cloudier now. Max of a warmish 19c, 15c now.

Min of 5c last night. Sunny spells most of today but showers close by late afternoon. 17c max. Now partly cloudy with the frontal cloud to my NW.

Today was a beautiful mostly sunny day with a max of just 14c due to the northerly airflow. Cloudier this evening with showery skies to the west which show up as showers on the 1800 radar. A cold night on the cards me thinks.

A day of cloud and sunny spells, no wind and tops of just 17c. Now temp is sitting at 13c and it's cloudy.

Sunny spells till 1500 then cloudy and heavy showers from the cold front which is clearing now. Tops of 18c and now 14c.

Early cloud prevented frost but it was chilly at 4c. Sunny spells lifted temps to 18c. Now frontal cirrus moving down from NW and temp at 13c.

To run for the rest of this wonderful month! Slight frost this morning with min of +1c A totally clear and sunny day lifted temps to 17c. Dropping quickly now at 12c and frost expected by morning again.

A sunny day here today but the suns gone down already Therefore Autumn is here. Max today of just 14c but very pleasant nonetheless. Now it's already dropped to single figures and frost expected by morning.

HUGE change in the weather today. 0700 was clear and 17c which rose to 19c in early sunshine then..... torrential showers and persistent very heavy rain through lunchtime until about 1700 then... a total amazing cold front clearance and sunny end to the day with temps rapidly down to 11c

Andrew, I'm Andy, living in Westbury, Wilts approx 25 miles SE of Bristol. There was a spell of intense rain here around 1330 so that falls in line with your parents recording. Have you ran the radar sequence for the day to see how narrow yet intense the rain band was over our area?

Well it seems today is the last 20c+ day for a while. Misty this morning and then sunny spells developed with a max of 23c. Now quite cloudy and it's getting dark so early now.

Cloudy and humid with some sunshine today. Tops of 20c after last nights min of 16c

I think we got carried away with it being just hot and sunny every day! Today is totally cloudy Not much use though as there is no rain and it's quite humid and 20c.

Yes, the forecaster on Points West mentioned this although it won't bring anything more than hill fog or perhaps (and very bravely of the weather to do this ) a little drizzle. Should break tomorrow to sunny spells but will certainly be different to have cloud.

Now 6 days of virtually unbroken sunshine :!: 26c again today after 8c min last night As I post the stars are out and temp is cooling at 16c

5 days of virtually unbroken sunshine apart from the patches of cirrus etc that only add to the beauty of this spell of weather. 22c now but dropping quickly after 26c max . :lol:
