  1. Blue skies and cirrus/cirrocumulus. 24c and a gentle breeze.
  2. 3rd day of unbroken sunshine in a row. A little fog very early today. Some beautiful areas of cirrus-saw an X shape earlier on that covered a large area of the sky but had no camera with me (typical) 24c at present and hit 25c at highest.
  3. Friday is a beautiful day here as probably most of the rest of the country. Plenty of sunshine, lovely looking cirrus and 18c right now.
  4. A little brighter through the afternoon but lots of low cloud not picked up on the BBC satellite (is on the visible one though) which shows clear skies from the midlands down to the south coast at 1700-if only. Still very humid as Stephens posting of 98% shows. 18c at present and reached 20c earlier.
  5. To take us through to the middle of the month. Horrid here today: cloudy, drizzly and humid. 17c at present and not the merest hint of brightness in any direction That's one narrow band of rain on the 1000 radar :!:
  6. Bright and breezy and pleasant in the sun at 16c but when the suns gone in Autumn in the air today for sure.
  7. An odd day with clear blue skies to my E, thicker frontal cloud to my W and in the middle it is hazy sunshine, patchy cumulus and a now increasing NW breeze tempering the pleasant feeling 18c. Has bben the same sky set up ALL DAY so far as all seems to be moving N-S.
  8. Unexpected sunshine this morning lifted temps to 21c and since it's clouded over it's quite humid. Rain in the air but radar shows it well to the SW of here. Gentle S drift of wind and 19c now.
  9. Sunny morning Heavy showers with sunny spells from 1500-1700 Now a sunny evening 19c max, 16c now
  10. I thought at lunchtime that the rain had gone away totally as it was quite clear and warm but since 1500 it has been cloudy with heavy showery rain and considerably cooler now at 16c. Much needed rain it has to be said.
  11. Looking at the lightning charts everyhting kicked off north of the M4 this afternoon. No good for those of us 20+ miles away! It was sunny all afternoon here although could see some massive towers in the distance looking like almighty mountain ranges. Now a cool clear evening and 11c after max of 18c.
  12. Considerably fresher and breezy today, quite sunny now though with showery looking skies heading away to the E. Didn't have any showers here but some dark clouds came close. 17c at present.
  13. Cloudy, humid and rain in the air, 21c still after 23c max without sunshine!
  14. Clear, sunny and 22c this afternoon. A wonderful day with just a gentle S breeze too.
  15. Cloudy calm and 19c at home this afternoon.Had a good few days in Bournemouth - was lovely yesterday but Monday was fairly cloudy and cool.
  16. Crystal clear and cold at 6c, min was 5c again. Set to be a lovely day.
  17. Min of 5c last night. Cloudy now after a sunny day with tops of 19c.
  18. Min of 11c last night and a lot of rain too. Rain cleared by lunchtime since when it's been breezy with sunny spells. Some excellent cumulus in the distance but no showers here. Max of 18c.
  19. Heavy rain just clearing-very dark sky and only 13c  See my separate thread. What a change.
  20. Temp outside now is just 13c   The last time it was this low was on the night of the 19th August :!: It has also just bucketed with rain on the edge of the vicious little line moving northwards on the radar. First proper rain since early in the month. It doesn't feel 13c (much warmer in fact) but I am gobsmacked at this occurence.
  21. Cloudy until 2 hours ago and the cloud has totally melted away to leave a stunning evening and temps now of 22c which is as high as it's been.
  22. Cloudy morning, sunny till 1500 then very cloudy (almost day darkness at 1800). Max of 23c. Now 17c.
  23. A mostly cloudy Bank Holiday with some sunshine. Quite a brisk E wind and 21c at present.
  24. Very interesting at present. Hot (27c) and very humid. Big cnb clouds all around and to the W very thundery looking. Had some large (inch diameter) rainspots several times this afternoon. Not a breath of wind.
  25. Partly cloudy and 21 c currently. Hit 30c in the shade according to my thermometer  I have been to Weston for footy and on the coast it was totally clear and roasting but I don't know how sunny it was inland this afternoon but the temp suggests it was clear.
