  1. wind seems to be dying off here at the moment nowhere near as strong as it was.
  2. I just noticed we on warnings for the next 3 days so that's some snow they predicting to fall if you think about it.
  3. that's amazing Louise, nothing like that here.as yet, just a sprinkle its not up to the gate tho so not bad.
  4. any thoughts on this perking up, how long it will last, currently in haydock but thinking of hitting st Helens as its not that drastic atm.
  5. i seen it worse to be honest, I like the fact we had snow but its just not making a huge impact here now in haydock, just went out and its 2 cm 3 in drifts which is good for our area but no need for my spade
  6. starting to fizzle here now, very fine hope it perks up.
  7. dreadful in haydock its fine but throwing down. I love it, don't think this will last tho, far to good.
  8. its fine snow here now but lots of it and the wind is blowing the snow in waves of the roof of houses, looks awesome.
  9. I think the met office are out playing in snow or waiting for it to hit London then they will go end of the world on us.
  10. depends if it keeps up, but if this level of snow keeps up for even half the expected time then a red warning would be useful its already now grass covered.
  11. white out here in haydock, really going for it the snow and lovely to watch, think its time to play
  12. dry and cold here in haydock, dusting on ground and some of the snow has melted on roof. I am well jealous
  13. graphics for met office are dreadful, gone from light snow to overcast but everything else says otherwise..
  14. I hope you are right the forcast looks alright, it.back up into us, so seems to be snowy. I don't believe the ammounts will be anywhere near forcast. I think that's just an over stretched warning which they usually do.
  15. isolated frost why the aggression its just a debate on why the forecasts are bias in some people's opinion for our area (area thread). I am not chart savvy hence why I keep out of the chart threads but I do have excellent window skills and heard all the hype to fill a cap to follow all the tears to fill a jug.
  16. I take your points on board but they have forcast snow, just not for the Northwest and in fairness it may be accurate as time will tell. I get the global warming agenda but if its going to snow all the warm thinking won't change that. I just think its not going to be what people wanted and the forecasters regardless of there tweets don't really know, they highlighted the potential and that's all they can do, now its up to the snow gods.
  17. I don't think the BBC are down playing for any agenda, in fairness accuweather have forcast rain all day (we had snow). I believe the forecasters just don't know, they never know when it comes to snow. It is currently all academic until it happens and that's why they are up and down with directions.
  18. stopped snowing here now but winds got up and got a dusting on the ground now. Haydock area.
  19. its snowing in st Helens but its wet snow so just making everything wet. I am shocked to see so much snow now as the event if one was happening is tomorrow.
  20. we have snow in st Helens was light and not sticking but snow falling which is positive even tho the met have downgraded there snow forcast to light snow.
  21. I just got into st Helens and the eletronic notice board read, 'heavy snow expected be prepared' I have never seen a weather warning on those before in my life.
  22. that is confusing as you do zoom in to show red, why not just paint it all red, look far more dramatic. I think its a error of a computer sort.
  23. never ever seen a red warning so bristol area needs to be prepare the snowmen, we still under amber, maybe suprises could happen here.
