    Not really surprising is it it's been one of the mildest winters on record for europe. but if it ain't a cloudy high we should see some frost at least before it sinks back to its resting place the black sea as usual

    it does I think we are chasing rainbows this season. any HP looks very unlickly to move far enough North and we end with bartlett after bartlett.the AO and NAO are set to decline somewhat from mid month but as you can see there still forecasted to be very much on the positive side such a shame.

    things are starting to look better finally from mid month.surprised this morning with 2inches of the white stuff lying first for more than 12 months that's how bad it's been but better things to come me thinks northwest looks like getting a pasting

    don't think any heights are possible anywhere with a scandi high a fantasy with a AO set to reach +5 and NAO looking positive for at least January and that's bear minimum

    and not one mention from the liberal media about the coldest temp ever recorded in greenland not surprising is it. crap happens the past two years we have just been unlucky positive NAO and AO

    very rare to see upper temps of +8c in northern Scandinavia at the beginning of jan.one upside it can't get any worse surly

    two years running now the NAO and the AO goes to positive when we reach 1st December unreal with AO going of the charts think I will take a brake for a fortnight

    summer started of great up here April,may,and june then slowly deteriated to become a washout.more often than not that is the usual for Scotland may tends to be the the best month of the year for us

    didn't think it could get any worse but even Lapland in major melt mode you would be up to your knees in muck.lets hope it's just a outlier

    sad really nowadays unless we have a SSW event you can near guarantee no cold events that was not always the case year gone by.i put it down to a more powerful polar vortex in the winter which in return strengthens the jet stream.and given on average we get 2 SSW events every 5 years this season looks be a non starter

    well if it is to be snowless this will be my second year running believe it or not even at 302asl.the days seem long gone when the snow lay for 6 weeks in the shaded back garden

    the last few runs from the GFS are starting to hint at something more wintery in the 2nd week of Jan whether or not that comes to anything is anyone's guess but they may get lucky.but after the dreadfull heatwave and fires they have had early teens may feel a bit on the cold side

    feeling this could be a record braker 7.7c with rainfall nearer the 250mm for my area which is fairly normal here

    not heard the saying nobody wants you when your old.companys don't catter for the old but for the young how spend the money oil and coal are on there last legs as the young will not except the changes which are happening.the Arab states in the future will turn of the oil and replace there deserts with millions of solar panels and instead of selling oil it will be electric

    I think we need to change the winter model forum to the new name of the never ending rain and mild forum as winters nowadays don't exist.i also wish people would not mention the name snow anymore sometimes I wonder if they just like winding people up?

    if these charts were for july we would be in heatwave still many places over the next fortnight could well see temperatures hitting 16-17c

    it has been grim viewing over the past week if things dont change soon even the European ski resorts will suffer with +12 uppers heading in to central europe next week could well be none left for easter and its so bad even the scandinavian resorts will start to thaw
