  1. Yes the northern one was pretty much a direct hit here, the southern one slipped to the south and west. It was a nice little storm, the rain was very intense for about 10 minutes as the core passed over. Hasn't rained like that for a while, not since El Brumo - although that was an entirely different kettle of storm. Some of the CG and Fork lightning as it head over towards Cannock was mighty impressive.
  2. Abbots Bromley is about 10 minutes from here, one of the local villages. The direction the storm was travelling in meant I was looking in the direction of Abbots bromley as it was approaching. Could see it building and then the lightning transferred from over that way pretty much as a direct hit here.
  3. Well that was a decent little storm. Only lasted 20 minutes or so but I counted at least 12 lightning bolts, including 5 or 6 that were fork - a couple of which let rip some proper shotgun thunder. The rain was the heaviest since El Brumo back in June 12.
  4. Dont need the link - 2 huge lightning bolts here and 4 or 5 claps of thunder.
  5. Yep looks nice a storm. Huge 50p convective spots now.
  6. Big clouds coming over here, most ominous looking of the week.
  7. It did go dark all of a sudden and the rain intensity increased but nothing came out of the sky bar rain sadly! Cell just sprouted out of nowhere around Worcester and it looks good, just shows conditions are still ripe.
  8. Cell suddenly popped up from nowhere near Worcester, just goes to show things are still ripe out there.
  9. Well we ended up with 4 or 5 claps of thunder and some elevated lightning, it's been more like thundery rain than a storm sadly. Looks like the radar is dying down now too. So I suspect that's that.
  10. Turning out to be pretty crap. No more thunder/lightning. Moderately heavy rain, almost passed through now too. Might become potent 30 miles down the road.
  11. Scrap that, things looking tasty to my south and east. Big crack of thunder just now. Sky signal gone.
  12. Absolutely shat all here, cold drizzly and quiet. Looks like Lincs is having all the fun, YET AGAIN. What a naff place to live weatherwise.
  13. Shock. Absolutely shat all here, been cloudy all day and we've had bouts of drizzle. Dreadful, dreadful week as per weatherwise.
  14. Furstrating this, was Wales and the west the other day, now the south and east. Can almost guarantee all these will end up in Lincs.
  15. Not seeing much in the way of storms here later, too far west IMO - showers are quite likely though. Just hope they are decent.
  16. I don't see much in the way of rain affecting here tonight, not unless the band connects and the middle part significantly intensifies. Tommorrow afternoon looks like it may get quite spicy for a time though. Much more interesting than tonight.
  17. Nice cell overhead, but it'l only be a shower. 30-50 miles north of here is where things will go boom sadly. We just needed to be that bit further north.
  18. This is looking terribly 'bustish' in all honesty. Other than Wales, the entire thing has been a massive dud AS PER. It's why there's always so much negativity about anything the charts show on my behalf. They virtually never come to fruition.
  19. Will be hit and miss that he gets here and doesn't go too far west IMO. Nothing to be excited about yet. We need normal regionals back this week.
