  1. Itl rain beforehand and probably not stick anyway.
  2. Felt nice in the sun today, looking forward to the summer!
  3. Yep dwindling into nothing but 'a couple of chilly nights' this is. Sadly, it looks like any chance of settling snow from this period is non existant for 99% of us.
  4. Dry is fine, I dont mind it being dry. But at least sunny, or windy or something would be good. One a high note, it'l sort Walsall's pitch out and let it dry out a little which suits me fine after Saturday's debacle.
  5. Well if anything the ECM tonight shows a very dry and anticyclonic run, but for thoose weather enthusiasts (bar Gavin) and teeth-pullingly boring run. I'd rather it was an atlantic conveyor belt than this - cold, dry and dull is about the worst form of weather imagineable.
  6. At least that's an active form of weather. Looking out of your window to see Cloud or broken cloud for 7 days, whilst being absolutely freezing when leaving the house, is far worse. If it's summer time and hot it's fine, it's not in February.
  7. Thanks Ian, as expected then. Dry for all bar 1-5%< of us, accumulations little to non and main threat, ice or slippy paths from frost. Not poor in the sense of there is cold in place, but snow chances very poor to minimal for virtually the entire country. Anticyclonic, cold, fry and occasionally foggy/misty.
  8. Don't remind me, can't win either way. I might just move to Snowdonia.
  9. I have to say on surprised at how 'encouraged' and optimistic everyone seems to be in this thread. For all bar 5% max of the country this looks like a big standard anticyclonic week with most, fog and some early morning frost. As far as I'm concerned, thoroughly woeful and boring weather. There's been no real signal for much PPN at all and so no upgrade of sorts could be 'expected'. Now that's not to say we won't get a good old pasting again before spring starts but, this next 7 days? Not going to happen.
  10. We can safely say certainly the next 7 if not 10 days are going to be dry, chilly and deadly boring.
  11. Cold, cloudy and dry from midweek. Bright and milder until then. In other words, boring.
  12. I'd rather it wasn't dry, dry and dull are the worst forms of any weather.
  13. Next week looks like your average chilly borefest. I'd rather these spring like conditions and bright sun to be honest.
  14. The problem with runs like this? People will actually consider them coming to fruition. They dont and wont. So the eventual outcome will be watered down regardless - it can't be considered a downgrade on runs like this. So when the 0Z shows nothing like this - please dont bring the prozac out.
  15. Poor run uppers wise - let's see what the rest brings. Could we be heading to the 'lesser' chilly spell Ian F was mentioning.
  16. Heavy and big flakes now. Not sticking and making puddles bigger. Non event in terms of accum.
  17. Not much settling and the roads are wet. Will need something big to cover.
  18. I fail to see the need for 'nail in the coffin posts'. Anyone with a remote clue on how winter's have gone over the years will realise that settling snow is and will happen from this day right the way through to the very last few days of March and if the Uppers are suitable and high pressure in charge it will stick around. For my money thats another 4-5 weeks with the chance of snow events. Now I'm not sure what everyone constitutes as good winter weather, but the best part of snow is seeing it fall IMO. That can happen for another 4-5 weeks yet. So a chart tonight at t144, is NOT a final nail in the coffin.
  19. Reckon we might see a few hours of light-moderate. Could end up being the last whiteout of the season so enjoy it, for however long it lasts. Bring on the summer.
  20. What's the forecast looking like in Sheffield up until 12.30 Sunday? Getting the train to brum home and don't want to be stranded.
  21. Poor ECM so far. Birmingham South looks rainy and marginal. Not shaping up to be a good run, infact the opposite.
