  1. Woke to a very light dusting of snow this morning. Not even enough for a snowball laying but looks pretty
  2. LMAO I did refrain from being too celebratory but there is definitely a west/east divide
  3. To my untrained eye, the band is fizzling out as it moves east and less snow showing on the radar. I personally don't think the SE will see much of anything
  4. Rain here in Poole. Temp is around 5c. Its pretty damp. Doesn't feel anywhere near cold enough for sleet let alone snow. Its the back edge stuff isn't it?
  5. Yes. Very memorable. I was in the car driving back from macro and the heavens opened. Thunder, lightening and intense snowfall. It layed about an inch in 20 mins. Cars were skidding everywhere. On the way there the sky was clear and I didn't think it would snow. It was amazing. First snow I had seen in a while. Since then we've had alpine snow and snow with freezing rain. Alpine snow was the best. Freezing rain on top of snow was the worst. Thundersnow was just wow. A bit scary driving but wow
  6. Let's hope so. Better than sitting on the beach watching our PPN in the channel lol
  7. I expect nothing but watch nowcasts these days. So many times these channel lows skip the south and snow stays in the channel or it gets mixed out with warm uppers. Even with all charts high, medium, or low resolution and forecasts lol predicting snow. That said, when they pay off (very rare) they really pay off and we get a good dumping. I've seen this scenario many, many times but I can count on one hand how many notable events we've had in recent times. Simply, the odds aren't in our favour. We do have hope though lol
  8. How localised can you get? All rain here also in poole but a stormy looking sky
  9. What an amazing post by bring back 63...but please stop replying to it!
  10. Good lol. I had one in my hair yesterday. Still so many buzzing round bins for this time of year
  11. I can't believe the number of wasps I'm still seeing. You can tell it's been mild. We've had some frosts though and it was certainly cold a couple of weeks ago.
  12. Rain rain, lovely rain. I never thought I would say that. Its nice to have a break of the heat. It's very autumnal out there. It's been bone and burnt dry more or less since June?
  13. I came here to see what everyone is saying. Very dark in Poole, I hope we get a storm. It's very muggy here
  14. Snow here in Parkstone (poole) looks lovely blowing in the wind. Settling fast too
