    I don't understand why people on here are so hung up because it's not a cold November!! So what, my experience of UK winters and I have 38 years of it, winter doesn't get going most years until after Xmas!! What has happened the last two years is exceptional not the norm, it will snow at some point just chill and read the models for what they are!!!!!!

    It's not unsual for a mild winter in the UK, what has happened in the last couple of winters is exceptional!!!! Mild winters is just the norm and I think 2011/2012 is going to average to above average. It will nice to have mild December after all the disruption last year!!

    My winter forecast is for a mild to average winter!! Forecast based on a hunch, all the hype over a mini ice age, big freeze winter is over the top all from amatuer forecasters and the media hyping it up!!! Don't see the Met Office on board with the cold forecast and long range CFS models don't forecast a big freeze so why all the hype???

    Dusting of Snow on the hills around Penicuik, Rain turned to sleet at this level 190m asl, before dying out temp down to 2c chilly feel!!!

    Heavy snow now here in Penicuik and starting to settle temp dropping as colder air starts to dig in Looking at the bbc forecast the snow pushes back into Fife midnight onwards
