Some more photos from around Consett. Some monster icicles hanging along Medomsley Road. The photo of the wagon stranded along The Prom was taken about an hour ago so chances are he's still there. Damn stupid attempting it in the first place though.
(Sorry for not knowing how to thumbnail them)
-
That street looks ruff! whats the neighbours like?
Not half as bad as yours Keith
-
great pictures there lads, their some icicles them mind davyf lol
The ones in the first pic are from the house over the road and some of them are actually longer than the window haha. Glad you like them as I was bricking it taking photos of peoples bedroom windows
-
Some pics from around my street today. They're the biggest icicles I've ever seen in the first pic.
(How do I thumbnail the pics?)

35 mins lol.still snowing here.
in fact it's lashing down again.
35 mins? I'm looking at the stuff that's still over the water. Are you talking about the stuff that's north of Newcastle?
I was thinking that would pass west of us.
-
yip it's on its way.
What time do ya reckon? I'm running out of cans of John Smiths.
-
i told ya that on the bus to sheffield 90% air 10% h2o.
You also told me there'd be no bother down there and that we'd won 2-1.

well its mm per hour for rain, which converts directly to centimeters per hour for snow...
1mm of rain=1cm of snow
obviously they arent guna get 32 cm out of that shower because its intensity at that period is only guna last 5 minutes for the lucky few, but even in that time they could get 3cm.... pretty impressive for a 5 minute job!

That single fact right there makes me feel like I've learnt something today haha. Cheers!

Hmmmm, look at that percipitation over the far north east! That is un real! In some spots over 32cm per hour! Blizzard on a mammouth scale... nice band on course for newcastle... think i might just miss out, but keepin fingers crossed i might just catch the edge of the band!my location highlighted!
Please move 20 miles south!

I take it that's what the scale on the right represents then Snowman? cm per hour?

Got ya fella. Sorry mate I just saw that Pilko had been mentioning Netweather earlier and assumed you were him. You been a member on here long like?

Haha aye, is this Pilko?

Really hoping all that stuff sitting directly to the NE of me hits land and causes a bit havoc in Consett!

Just started again in Consett. Very fine and just a litle burst according to the radar.

BBC News have got the weather as their headline story tonight. Is that because London have seen it now?
-
A warm welcome to the site,or should that be a cold welcome!
Often wondered about the lightning not showing up on the detector, there has been a fair few reports of lightning tonight.
Yeh I was just wondering where the detectors are located that feed into the site and what sort of range they have.
-
Our lass also reckons shes just seen some lightning in Consett. Why doesn't this show up on the lightning detector part of the site? As I say, I'm brand new to the site.

Evening all. New to the forum and to Netweather after hearing my brother go on about it for so long. Just had a nightmare of a drive home from work so just sat in front of the laptop watching the results come in
