  1. Birmingham Airport is the same -1c (fairly rural) as well..... They did say that out in the sticks, it could get as low as -3c tonight.
  2. Same here, clear, 1.2c, quite frosty though. Love them foggy days that linger and especially if its freezing all day.
  3. Talk of the JMA at 168h and the GFS at 168h, Pretty similar don't you think
  4. I'll be looking at that model in a different light now you've put it that way, thanks, nice to hear a professional view on things, instead of a personal view
  5. Even your beloved GFS on the 12z run as it coming in Tuesday evening, You made me chuckle though You just said "feel models are not being progressive enough" You can't get more progressive than the GFS
  6. Don't know what forecast you watching, But theres no washout on tuesday, during Tuesday night if you like that sought of thing maybe, But thats what you wanted.... Happy days or nights even
  7. If that does happen... I'll take on the red sauce but not the hat & gloves, i would prefer egg curry, methinks
  8. Cold and dry for the next two days and foggy nights, days for some and where the fog does linger temps could stay around freezing. Could be interesting, You never know it may feel like proper winter.
  9. Plenty of agreement there then i see This was my point earlier..... and this says it all, Even the members are struggling with anything past 96h.
  10. This from 10 days ago for today And this is today Some are having whinge or two, on what's on offer at 240h, Just have a look above, i wouldn't look past 96h atm. Tamara.... I don't think anybody on here could of said it any better
  11. The GFS is always progressive on any run compared to other models, But if you look very carefully it was the UKMO that was showing, it's also been the best model by far this Winter.
  12. Wadley, i tend to agree with you, i look forward to this kind of set up, but yes borderline situations with this, 50 miles either way can make a big difference regarding snowfall, in the past we've had rain coming in from the west and as turned to snow over our region, few hours at best, then turned back to rain, couple of inches at most, normaly happens during the evening and we all wake up and its all gone.. boo hoo! But when it comes too the best falls! Well almost the same as above, but instead of the snow going through our region (the block HP) to our East, pushies against the in coming front and stalls and we get a right dumping before it dies out, Then it's sledges at the ready..... HAPPY DAYS. triplex1 'LETS HOPE' that we get this type of set up come Friday ...lol... 'Yes i know', straw clutching time At this stage SLEET! at best, buuuuuuuut! You never know. In a sense it wouldn't take much for this cold air too edge further West over the UK, I look forward to the upgrades, Interesting times ahead methinks!
  13. Surprised it took a full 8 mins on here for someone too ask...lol.... But yes, "Why do you expect this?"
  14. Tomasz Schafernaker Just said " and colder still as we go into the weekend"
  15. I was trying to put across that i love these type of set ups or scenarios,I.e. an example, inwhich we tend to have good snow fall from, regarding this as a forecast, yes it is deep in FI and i never intended to put across that this was a forecast that was actually going to happen. Anyway i think your going to have egg on your face come Feb
  16. I love these type of set ups/scenarios, in the past we've had some great snowfall events But when you look at this chart,^^^ Which will win.....There's only one way to find out: FIGHT!
  17. Which is better? There's only one way to find out: FIGHT......And the uk is right in the middle of it, the dumping ground
  18. FI is all dancing and all singing for cold and snow, the Scandi High can do one! if the rewards are that good come the end of Jan But you said it Yarmy "Let's see if this signal can be maintained".
  19. James Madden Won't be too happy either Great post, DiagonalRedLine
  20. One thing i do love is that we do have fun and games on the Midlands tread from time to time, While we are waiting for WINTER to arrive Hope it arrives soon Bish and he's Jokes get worse on the 'Status Updates' lol. Thanks Guys! ....Joking apart, I hope winter kicks in soon.
  21. Thank God!, Your not turning up in that ,How the hell i would explain your amazing suit, God knows!.... But if the wind picks up, You'll end up some where in Leicester anyway
  22. Wouldn't worry too much past 96h... This was from five days ago, for today. And this what we've ended up with, So regarding anything that far ahead ...(low moves north east and cuts the flow off)..... DON'T WORRY
  23. Just wish that azores high would sink and let that low sink Southeast, Then it would be Epic All in good time, maybe, all in good time.
