I think in mid Dec i mentioned something or other about keeping an eye on the Jet heading further south or Hinting towards that and how things can change for the better. I know this is FI but this the kind of outlook for the New Year that we may be looking towards and very Snowy one at that But caution it's still a long way off.... -

If it makes you feel better, Rovaniemi the capital of Lapland and supposedly where the big man him self lives, Is expecting 4c and rain on Christmas day!!! Unbelievable Lovely Bright echoes on the Radar atm.... Cat and Dogs here but quite Mild though at 10.7c. -

Click on the area where the winds are most fierce, It will give you the mean wind speed. -

WTF. Quotes; mid Autumn really now / just means that on average late Dec to early Jan,is the wettest / this weather is to be expected now, not snow. But then, Is the wettest and windiest time of the year / sun and calm high pressure weather ....Make your mind up As was asked " What do you mean" .....I wouldn't bother -

Yes you called ? Yes quite cold out there now, I think ice will be a problem in the morning more so in prone areas, But regarding today Dew points were never going to be sub zero and with temps 5c-6c to start before the rain came, It was always going to be messy........Sleet was the best i could manage. But nice to see some folk done better -
