  1. I agree, think a lot of peeps on here are getting too worked up......now all together, deep breath in through the nose....and out through the mouth Lets wait and see what happens, as what will be will be...we can't influence or change it by going nuts, jumping off cliffs or having digs at each other in here, (difficult as that is when we are expecting a good event and it dsent seem to be panning out the way we want)...why do we do it to ourselves eh! Lets see what mother nature brings.....and hope she's in a good mood Monday!
  2. Fair enough...I hope your gut is right...I for one would not turn my nose up at a foot of laying snow :-)
  3. A foot of snow? I thought we were expecting 8-10cm as an average in the south east (I am in Braintree & work in London), which dont get me wrong is a nice amount and would surly cause disruption in its own right.....but thats quite a bit short of a foot, which would be like the day after tomorrow senario in the SE!! What are you basing the foot of snow on?
  4. Right...going to completly put the mockers on it all tomorrow...gonna buy the double sled for the kids in readiness for Monday
  5. Well, its been a wait .....but good things come to those...........! Let keep our fingers crossed for a nice snow shower or two the weekend (for a taster) and a good pasting after rush hour on Monday and on into next week The anticipation is fantastic, we have all been through the highs and lows more times than we care to remember re weather watching...lets hope we all get what we are expecting in the next few days....good luck all !!!! 'Bated breath' in Braintree
  6. Oh, I'm sorry...I didn't know you had to be down in the mouth or an expert in forcasting and model watching with over 2000 posts to warrant your own post on this site without getting hammered...in times of austerity, with the majority having to muddle through... surley a little optomism can't be a bad thing (or just sheer blind faith on occasion!) As the Pythons said 'cheer up you old buggers!' Or you can always put us straight with a 100% accurate forcast of your own for the next 14 days? I think some members should bear in mind that some may have another point of view (albeit the wrong one sometimes!) but we are all interested in the same things which why we all love the site so much. Back to lurking....I will now keep my nose out and my mouth shut! and will take your responses on my chins
  7. Had a couple of flashes and rumbles in Braintree about 10 mins ago nothing since and brightening up now...better than nowt I suppose so cant grumble
  8. Do you think it will make it here or will it fizzle as it progs NE? Any ideas how far inland it will reach?

  12. Lucky devil..the stuff out East is looking a bit meaner in the last 10 mins or so....I wonder I dont know...the stuff to the east is looking very interesting in the last 10mins or so!
  13. Obviously going away then Any more action? Apart from the rain I dont think we are going to see much in the way of storms tonight......still going to bed with the window open (blind faith and misplaced optimism kicking in again!)
  14. I wish...this is the 1st ive seen in a while here (due to the Braintree Shield...which has had a malfunction tonight ) Will try and steer these your way!!
