  1. I know what you mean. But if November 2010 taught us anything, with the right charts the cold can be thrown over us early on. I get this inkling that the first half will be better than the second half. Last year was very odd, we had the cold start to February and we only just missed out on that record breaking cold affecting the rest of Europe. Then we get into March and we had that weird high pressure that gave us an early Heatwave. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_2012_United_Kingdom_heat_wave
  2. Good mate thankyou, yourself? Let's just hope we don't have a pathetic repeat of last winter, what a joke! All the signals are in our favour so all we can do is model watch and hope, I have a good feeling about the second half of December though
  3. We just love extremes in the UK, and we get them! I love the cold and snow just as much as I love the big heatwaves (late May 2012 for an example, that was beautiful)!
  4. Hey Backtrack! Long time no speak Agreed mate, but I'll take that to get the cold in place then throw us a polar low
  5. I wouldn't mind a December 2010 repeat to be honest, we had so much fun lamp post watching on here, watching that white stuff fall is just magical
  6. We need lower pressure. I cba with another late-November 2010 type situation with the ice, frost and bitter winds knowing that snow is just a breath away, we had to wait til December COME ON! EYE CANDEH:
  7. If only it were mid-late November onwards... It'd be a cracking cold snap!
  8. Saturday and Sunday were both fantastic here in Blackpool though the weather began to worsen yesterday, late afternoon.
  9. If we want a nice heatwave in September, we preferably want it in the first 10 days so we can take advantage of the dark sets in at like a20.20-20.30, (in my town at least). Last years record breaking heatwave - as amazing as it was- (in regards to heat and sunshine) - was partially ruined by the fact that it began going dark around 19.20-19.30 Bloody nights drawing in, pain in the I have a problem. Don't get me wrong, I want a heatwave, just one where we can enjoy light, warm evenings (like we had mid-late May of this year). I am looking forward to this weeks upcoming warm spell and next weeks potential heatwave. Fingers crossed guys!
  10. It's looking really good for us Northerners! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apart from certain areas tomorrow, a fantastic start to September seems to be in-store for England, Wales, Southern Scotland and Ireland (excluding the far North) with the Azores ridging in. It's also very nice to see that humidity won't be too high and with the winds being light meaning even if temperatures only manage the high-teens/low twenties, (as they did today) it'll feel rather pleasant, lovely and warm (as it did today ). I am - personally - very pleased. However, I feel sorry for the far North of Scotland and the Shetland Isles, which looks like experiencing gusts of up to 60mph and heavy rain accompanied by temperatures of just 11-13c, it'd likely feel like an early November low pressure system. For the northern parts of NI It shouldn't be as bad, with temperatures holding up in the mid-teens (14C-17C) and it'll be less windy than in N Scotland the Shetland Isles, though windy enough to make it feel much cooler than the forecast temperatures suggest, unfortunately. All this will be going on in the far North whilst the rest of the country basks in the pleasant conditions. It's a shame, it'll feel like the depths of Autumn at times in the areas I mentioned (N Scotland in-particular). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (I'd generally advise to add 1C-3C to these projected temperatures, as per). I'm attending my cousin's wedding on this day (Saturday) and the function suite has a huge open balcony that overlooks Blackpool sea (Hilton Blackpool) so we're all very pleased at the current weather projections. Could be even warmer if the ECM came off: Lovely output from the EMS too, possibly up to 30C in places. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another nice outlook here, lovely and warm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It'll be interesting to see if those hot FI charts come to fruition, the week ahead looks lovely for the most of us but it seems mid month a an impressive heatwave could be possible (obviously still FI at the moment). September has proved to be really special and interesting these past few years and this one seems to be following suit. Check this out, 32c-33C possible (FI, I know): POSSIBLE RECORD BREAKING HEAT?! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bring it on!

  13. After much model watching, my personal forecast for September is for a warmer, sunnier and drier than average month but not spectacular. I think it's very unlikely we'll get a heatwave anything like last years late-September/early-October heatwave but obviously that would be really welcomed for some. Pleasent weather does look likely though throughout the month
  14. A nice country wide heatwave could still happen, we still have plenty of time. You only have to go back to last year when we had that record breaking autumn heatwave from September 25 through until October 02. It was a glorious spell here in Blackpool and it felt quite similar to the May 2012 heatwave. Keep the faith, heat lovers!
  15. I have no right? Oh okay. 30-31 looked possible but 33-34, I can't see where that was pulled from.
  16. I don't know where people were getting "locally 32-34C looks quite possible" from.
