I have circled some areas of the radar.
Circled (turquoise) storms EA near the Wash area - appear to be backbuilding.
Circled (green) towards the SW UK up to Cardiff this line becoming more organized, expect this to interact as moves NE.

How do you get such great lightning shots? I have a Nikon D5100 and this evening I had it on esposures between 5 seconds and 30 seconds and despite lightning appearing while the shutter was open, I got nothing
Have you got a bulb setting? continues exposure for at least 1 min

The London storm cell tracking north moving into the Hendon/Chigwell areas.
Another cell just gone up north of Dorking,Surrey.
Not much lightning from these at the moment (odd flashs going by radar/reports)
-
Something is brewing and it isn't my tea.
Just been outside for a cig and noticed distant flashes of lightning. The storms to my SW are intensifying.
-
Possibly there is a lack of shear to be honest, these appear to be pulse storms, ie form and with no wind sheer to separate the up drafts from the down drafts collapse back on themselves due to lack of inflow.
Must be why the isolated storms are not lasting long need to keep the cell going feeding it. Later though things really do develop and prolonged storms on the menu..

Had nothing here on the south coast just wish that mcs in grand would cross the channel quickly
Your much nearer to it being in the east..

Few rumbles and flashes going on in Waterloo right now. Not doing anything for this dreadful humidity though :-(
Intense cell developed over London surface temps 24C Heathrow and around L at 0015am!!

I'm off now .keep calm and carry on? yeah I think good idea with the high heat as well as the excitement(or worry) of the stms
-
An active weather day all I can say oh and that could or should continue the theme overnight. need to keep calm today.

Yes that storm started as a heavy shower SW of London, the cell then went into mega mode in just 15 mins was amazing and quite an incredible speed of development considering how actively electric it become in that time. Been on the edge of it, was closer around 30 mins ago moving a way it seems, still hearing very deep rumbles..
-
I'm in Stanwell (next to H-AP) still hearing deep thunder every couple of min (distance)
