  1. The track of Saturdays low will make a real difference to weekend temps. For example yesterdays 12Z ECM showed a max of 18c for London and heavy rain for Saturday the ECM 00z has the track of the low further SW with only the SW and parts of Wales seeing rain and subsequently London has a high of 27c for Saturday.
  2. ECM 12Z still showing a pretty wet Saturday for many. Deep FI looks particularly unsettled with plenty of troughs over or near the UK. Feeling cool in the rain with temps of 18c in London on Sat, 12c in Manchester and 14c in Glasgow. I think if the same scenario is still shown on the ECM come Weds then i think it is game on for a unsettled weekend.
  3. Hoping for a Autumn with gales and heavy rain and cooler than average temps. suppose we should have a few days here and there to dry out, but for the majority gales and rain please
  4. If you call saying what the models show as ramping, then guilty as charged your honour Yes i like unsettled and cool weather but so what Don't see why it matters what someone's preference is aslong as that person speaks truthfully about the model output.
  5. Uh oh first sign of the heat lovers straw clutching. Must mean only one thing that winter is coming lol. Just having some friendly banter.
  6. Another cooler, wet run from the GFS 06Z for the end of the week and weekend. not as cool as the ECM 00Z or the GFS 00Z with some warmth managing to hang on in the SE. With the heavy rain though i doubt very much it would feel 21c / 22c. Rain on Fri some heavy, with more rain to come on Sat. More rain to come on Sunday Could be looking at a pretty unsettled spell of weather coming up at the end of this week?
  7. A very unsettled Saturday being progged by the ECM 00Z for Southern and Central UK. Yesterdays ECM 12Z showed the majority of the rain coming on Friday, obviously at this range timing of any rain is still gonna not be nailed down. Some very cool daytime temps also being forecast by ECM 00Z. London Fri 16c, Sat 13c Manchester Fri 14c, Sat 15c Glasgow Fri 13c, Sat 14c The ECM has being showing a cool down from Friday for a fair few runs now. GFS 00Z also showing some very cool days at the end of this week. The heavIest of the rain seems to miss most of us in the South though
  8. Yeah man not gonna argue. BBC mentioned chance of heavy rain at end of countryfile, with the normal un-certainty statement. No less valid then posts mentioning potential for warmth to carry on into next week. If the 12z op ECM were to verify then the South would also see rain on Monday and Tuesday. There is always 2 sides to a story, otherwise people might start to think that there is nothing else going on other than sun and warmth.
  9. Im talking about the ECM precip chart. You've posted the GFS, can't really discuss when your posting the wrong model chart.
  10. I quote the info that is available. Latest max temp for London on Friday based on ECM 12z is 18c. If that is wrong then so be it but if that what it says then that's what it says. No prizes for being right or wrong.
  11. ECM 12z still showing a wet Friday for many in the south / south east. Moving up the East of the country during the course of the day. Many many posts about continuing warmth but nothing about the rain. Maybe its denial lol.
  12. The met office don't do long range forecasts for a very good reason and that is cos they quite often end up wrong. And they are the people in the know.
  13. Luckily with them 2 charts the very warm temps stay in mainland Europe. The south of England would experiance heavy rain.
  14. After a very dry week in the South. The ECM brings some heavy rain moving up from the South during the course of Friday. Feeling quite a lot cooler in the rain with highs of only 17c in London on Friday. A degree or so cooler in rural areas.
  15. The high from the west brings with it much lower temps. Mid to high teens countrywide.
  16. ECM still shows it turning unsettled from late next week just in a different way from previous runs. Warm rain now instead of cold rain. But ultimately still er wet!!!!!
  17. Warm and sunny until midweek. But then there is no hiding from the fact that it is going to turn unsettled there after. How long it will last for is anyone's guess though.
  18. The 06 GFS op run was pretty much out on it's own in relation to the Autumnal blast shown on the op from around 5th Sept onwards. Slightly below average but no where near as extreme as op run.
  19. GFS 06Z The very warm uppers (12+) manage to hold on in the South East until midweek. But by the end of the week Autumn is here. Hmmm sniff sniff, what is that i can smell?, yep that's right fresh, cool autumn air.
  20. 91 pages will take about 5 minutes if a Easterly appears in the height of winter.
  21. Totally flat just like the current weather pattern. It confirms my belief that most people on here are weather enthusiasts rather than fans of nothingness.
  22. Is it just me that has a dirty mind!! Hehe. (centre left of pic) Not quite the face of jesus, but still!!.
  23. Yep it takes the low back on a NEasterly track. UKMO seems to be following similar lines to. Plenty of chopping and changing in regards to placement of the low at the moment.
  24. IMO it looks as though the LP takes a more SE track on the GFS 6Z. certainly fresher feeling this weekend if GFS were to verify.
  25. Yes all models are looking increasingly unsettled and autumnal, especially the further North you go. About time in my opinion :-)
