  1. Actually that wasnt a bad shout not to dissimilar to the mets update a few minutes ago thats of course if it happens like that i think perhaps it will be more to the east
  2. Met seem fairly confident of the potential storm track which seems to put it staright through the heart of the country from now right till Sunday
  3. Im to the west of you but all i had was heavy rain no storms as such.

  5. It's touch and go gord there does seem more showers slightly more west exiting France. I'd be more happy if I was East Midlands
  6. Yep seems to be evaporating before it reaches the ground . Is it down to down drafts ? Or simply not enough precipitation
  7. The band of showers really seems to be getting going now going from nort west France right through the heart of England seems to be a lot more organised as well. Which should bode well for later

  11. yep as it stands the euro 4 morning run places the greatest risk over the midlands on Thursday with the heavist of the precipitation from shropshire across to the east midlands might be quite a show for a few folk
  12. Yep quite a nice few days coming up. I expect for my area mid 20s will be the order of the day with perhaps the chance of a storm on Thursday all in all not to shabby however way out into the unreliable it does look like atlantic is in control
  13. Still quite a bit away but thursday does show some potential for some quite stormy weather. fingers crossed
  14. this is taken from another site but does seem to show a part of the ice could detatched itself over the next few weeks if so how much impact would that have on the overall ice loss?
  15. Interesting taking a bit of a battering does the darker the colour indicate the thickness of the ice?
  16. Yep looks like its batten down the hatches time again although i know im only a small part of the Uk buts its been anything but wet and cool around here this summer

  18. Do we still think 2012 is out of reach? The conditions in the artic do seem quite bad also a second storm may be brewing

  21. So do you think the upcoming weather conditions in the area still wont be enough for us to get past the 2012 minimum?
  22. I find that statement quite amazing as many predicted ice free in perhaps the next 20 years or so. i understand over the next few weeks the artic could take a very big hit we could be soon entering unfamiliar ground
  23. With the current projections how low could we go this melt season? ive heard some say we could go ice free this year. Surely that is way ott.
  24. Down to 19 days without sunspots this year. Considering the first spotless day was recorded until June the sun is in a very unactive cycle.
