    Thanks, nicely located! And to add to your statement - agreed, some of us have missed out, but have loved the fact that the bulk of the UK have seen some action. Gutted re IMBY, but al your pics and clips have been just totally amazing!

    Agreed! All the cams i found were either pre-recorded or 'located' so far away that you had to wonder if there really was a storm?

    Montpellier region, i banged on about this last night (pardon the pun). Yesterday their storm remained virtually stationary for around 9 hours. Today is round 2... and it's been fun and games for the last 6 hours, and no let-up yet... Someone please beam me there now (the wife will never notice)

    Agreed, right from the beginning (last Saturday) ...totally underwhelmed, no storms, other than 2 faint rumbles yesterday...but happy for the lucky folk who have had a storm (or multiple ones!). Great pics everyone! Can ijust add my only pic, captured yesterday of a classic shelf formation overhead...

    As storms go, has anyone noticed the epic storm situated over the Montpellier region, southern France today? It's been virtually stationary since 1pm today and the sferics are just insane! Courtesy of observing Blitzortung...strikes must be in the region of 5 digits by now, and still no signs of this storm weakening... Wow

    Hi folks, well the last few days have been amazing...and i'm talking about all of your storm pics - which have been up there with the best i have ever seen! Not all of us have been lucky enough to have had a storm(s), in my case for sure... but your photos have more than made up for this!! Keep positive, there's more on the way.... and here's hoping that the next swathe (just approaching the far S/W) delivers... Good luck my fellow storm enthusiasts!

    Very heavy rain (torrential at times) has been falling continuously here in the last hour. No lightning/thunder though.... but current radar suggesting much more to fall in the next few hours. Flooding could be a real concern in a few of our prone areas tonight. I suspect an amber warning could be issued shortly, for southern central and Midlands as this front looks to further intensify as it moves N/E overnight..

    Random, but yes!! Have now seen a nice squall line intensifying on the back edge of the cold front, moving slowly eastwards over W Cornwall... Here's hoping it's the beginning of a convective and thundery theme for all in the days to come...
