  1. As Carol Kirkwood would say... some absolute "humdingers" as far as your photos/video you have all posted in the past 36 hours... I'm jealous (as nothing here on the south coast), but genuinely happy for you lucky lot, and totally in awe!! Amazing Night all
  2. A great piece of work, and boy did it pay off for you!! If you were here in my back yard (same time frame) you would have captured this... ...
  3. 2 hours later... Well, second thoughts maybe? The channel seems to be wanting to eradicate the French storms quicker than I can say "oh b*llocks"... I think I'll look a again (in desperation for a miracle) after midnight...
  4. Nice to see the Nantes storm factory in France has started it's shift... and is really beginning to pump out the action. Due North for several miles, then heading North West. Tonight in the SW could be interesting...
  5. Hi legritter, great to hear from you (as always)! Not seen you around for a while, as always love your posts! Finger's crossed that you see the white stuff - you're more in the reckoning than my part of the world I feel. Anyways, Stella's and sausage baps all round... my treat this time!
  6. If I remember correctly he was on here literally a couple of days ago
  7. I've already taken it, ran, and screenshot... Now just waiting for the 10th March, waking up, opening the curtains to witness the reality...
  8. Here's hoping... and I have a feeling that a fair few of us will get some nice surprises in the next 10 or so hours...
  9. Or is it? Will it make it to S. Dartmoor this time... or track to the south and make it to my back yard instead?
  10. Thanks Festival, thought that was the case, as the same here too (bone dry!). Finger's crossed for tonight!
  11. Apologies as only just catching up (and still 4 pages behind!!). Love your continued positivity @MATTWOLVES through rain, shine and, maybe snow. I'm typing this at the time of reading your above post (23.30)... hopefully by the time I catch up (well-after the time I get to the post pub run posts), your comments and positive spin will have this place back in delirium again! The UK's having a tough time as it is...the last thing we need is an Azores bomb to to wipe out our coldies dream... As I continue to catch up (reading through and taking in everyone's contribution), then hopefully by the time I get to the 'pub run's' comments we'll be in a much better place again... or maybe not... My point (I guess) - we all have our own perspectives, thoughts, positivity/negativity on the models and desired outcomes - but as for you mate, you keep ( and always) try to keep a middle ground, non-bias, non-argumentative, but honest with your replies... You, amongst others' are what this forum is about...and irrespective of how often I feel let down by our (what always seems) Bi-Polar weather model runs... it's you and many other's which keep me coming back (since 2010) for more... and, as another forum legend would say ( @Legritter ), Stellas on me!
  12. Hmmm, dilemma... lampost watching, or watching England bury France? Give me those big flakes falling past those lights anytime!! 🌨
  13. Yes - monsoon-like conditions for around 10 minutes, with steady and heavy rain either side of that... Even the ducks took shelter... Looks like further downpours now becoming organised in the SW approaches...
  14. You weren't wrong Liam... Torrential rain for the last hour, probs another 10-15 mins before it clears Plymouth. Reports on Plymouth Live of flash flooding in several parts of the city...
  15. Probs still 'hoping', but interesting to see some small development's south of Devon/Dorset in the channel...could be nothing to sing about.. but then again...
  16. Totally with you, and a very much accurate assessment, based on current radar.. Gutted i guess, as totally missed out on the fun and games experienced by many last week! Ah well, here's hoping... or bring on April/May onwards next year...
  17. Yep totally 50/50 mate. Good luck for the coming hours.. latest obvs looking interesting, we now just need a rapid cell or two to rapidly form and build as this front moves northwards...anyone's guess, but I'm wishing more than expecting to be fair...
