Well that's a turn up for the books a very slight covering here, snow then graupel then snow both fine and big flakes, surprised it stuck but you guys with altitude should be optimistic, its flat as a witches t#t here
-

Whilst all speculation weird that the counyryfile forecast suggested some snow showers mid week yet met office who supply their info watered down their thoughts looking at countryfile eastern fringes say A1 eastwards may see oddments lets hope so

Even my optimism is slowly fading for this Ne'rly in a few days, gradually we have seen very small downgrades over the course of every GFS run as the high pressure to the west nudges slightly closer making the flow slacker and it more of a brief affair. A few days ago I posted that GFS gives my areas of a 36 hour window for snow showers and ECM/UKMO a 24 hour period, hats off to UKMO more especially as that looks like it will be the closest which unfortunately was the worst outcome for snow. Still chances snow will be seen down the east coast and pushing inland, but how heavy, how far inland etc wont be predictable for somewhile yet. Moan over!
Thats my thoughts too expected a final flourish maybe a brief warm up and back for round two so it seemed but now grey skies and chilly surface cold but maybe things could flip ( he says fingers crossed)

I might add i really hope im wrong and theres a bit of the white stuff, trying to think where to take my dogs for a snow fix today
-
Thoroughly depressing now, i at least hoped for another light covering this week and if it petered out towards weekend with a slow thaw so be it but seems the potential is being eroded by the day just grey chilly but not bitter and nagging wind and odd bit of cold sleety rain, upside still all of feb and first two weeks of mar as they have genuine cold chance

Coming down well here near Robin Hood airport, wasn't very optimistic, but starting to stick, looks like my work areas getting nice bit too, so maybe snow day tomorrow, fingers crossed like HC says better to come when temps drop off further for us all
-
Just driven through a moderate snow shower near Bawtry didnt settle as too warm about 3℃ but decent flakes bodes well for later
-
Well my thin coverings about gone sleety muck now, but enough to write day off so coffee machines on overdrive lol
-
Light 2-3cm cover here, just wondering if i will get a snow day , (work outside and survey ground)
-
Its calmed a bit but what came down did start settling dandruff style here and its flat as a pancake hereSnowing now here but it's not settling. Anyone at low altitude getting settling snow?
Edit...got big airport lights and can see few bigger flakes in it now
-

Need that ppn to edge SE a bit please, i went for a snowy fix to Sutton bank and Nth York moors with dogs though so that eased my cravings
-
Same here, as usual us to east miss out whilst a few miles to west they get all the fun.
Still water to go under the bridge, if any kind of Easterly sets up better sited can't win them all, least not too far East for midweek, though might as well put a pin on the map blindfold way things chop and change lol
-
Sleety stuff here though few more flakes mixed in now, think my low altitude is deciding factor
-
Nice moderate snow here now, doubted it would settle after the heavy rain previous, settling well now , bodes well for you guys with altitude as its flat as a pancake hear near the Airport
-

Bits and bobs of light snow coming down here at Robin Hood Airport, not sticking but there's no intensity yet, maybe later who knows, big area showing up on radar to the NE but looks light too. Maybe a trip to North York moors tomorrow night be worth it.
