  1. Rain? None of that here mate, still snowing and that large echo on the radar out west with very heavy precipitation is heading right for us
  2. The weather radar is going to have to show some intensifying of the precipitation then if that's going to become reality!
  3. Was nice to see snow falling, had drizzle her now for a while, can see flakes whenever it gets a little heavier though.
  4. Snow cam fall with a temp upto 4c, if other factors are conducive for snowfall, remember hearing that in a bbc weather program years ago.
  5. Sorry for your loss, I have some idea what you going through having watched my brother fight and eventually lose his battle with cancer last summer.
  6. Nah, not really expecting it too, just nice to see snow falling in all honesty.
  7. Had snow falling here for about 20 minutes now, surprised your not seeing any already.
  8. Got some very large flakes falling now, not too heavy though. Edit : scratch that, coming down heavy now. Woohoo.
  9. Hmm, either my eyes are deceiving me or I can see white bits falling mixed in with the rain.
  10. Thought it might be dropping, clouds are moving in a south easterly direction now so the winds have swung round.
  11. No chance if the temperature is going up, hope you have a faulty weather station there lol
  12. Weather app says sleet is falling here, looks like rain to me! Well done to those who've seem some snow, hope I do later, even if it' just some flakes mixed in with the rain.
  13. What's more important is what the temperature is when the precipitating is falling , might have gone up by then, plus you have the wbfl and dew points to consider as well as upper temps.
  14. I can see lots of people checking the satellite imagery once that lp comes into range, to see if it's position matches where the models said it would be at certain times. I remember yet another snow event for us that went belly up at very short range where the models were still saying snow for us but then everyone in the south east regional started going nuts when the satellite imagery showed the system much further east then what the models were showing so they got hit and we missed out!
  15. Marginal setups have delivered some of the best snowfalls in the past, Dec '81 (bet your gutted you missed that one, awesome snow depths even at sea level!) springs to mind, uppers weren't great either, higher than -5 if you look at the archive charts.
