  1. If this cleared, then froze, then had snow showers, then there could be issues tomorrow.
  2. The warning for Tuesday just gone did mention settling snow of 0.5-3cm in places, which it did, but very isolated, and was very short lived.
  3. Yep, warnings are out for something a bit more than ice now in our region. Still no real accumulations forecast for low ground, just above 100m.
  4. Morning. Metoffice now have a spell of snow for tomorrow morning here from about 4am for a few hours. Looks like it could be quite heavy too. Shame it’ll have rained all night so it probably won’t stick (a bit like that Sunday in January)
  5. It’s been a lovely cold day today though turning cloudier now. Metoffice did go for a back edge sleet event on Friday morning, but the rain for Thursday into Friday seems to be for a shorter period, and all rain now. Nothing wintry according to them for low ground for the next 6 days.
  6. Temperature is plummeting now. A slight breeze to. It’s bitter out there
  7. Band is dying a death on its back edge now. Even looks like the sun will come out soon!
  8. The heavier stuff is hitting the coast and then significantly reducing in intensity. The back edge of the front will be coming into the region soon.
  9. Looks like the heavier stuff is right on Liverpool’s doorstep.
  10. Radar isn’t showing true rates, should be lighter here but it’s snowing the heaviest all day so far. No settling though.
  11. starting to snow here but it’s nothing like what the radar shows.
  12. The Ireland forum doesn’t look too promising. Apparently a lot less falling than the radar depicts.
  13. Intensity of the band has definitely dropped off. It has spread out a bit more too, but still looks organised enough.
  14. Mild sector is squeezed out, and so is the moisture. Looks like a dusting at best event tomorrow really.
  15. Few flakes while at work in Frodsham today. At home now and the odd flake falling. Metoffice graphics showing hills and N England and Wales getting something heavier, but lower areas already seeing the band peter out, and not much in the way of showers after either.
  16. Metoffice is still showing return to 7c temps from Thursday onwards. That wouldn’t make this a long term cold spell?
  17. Just watched the BBC weather at 2pm, nick seemed quite dismissive of snow for England and Wales this week, except for the SE tonight. Even said the front on Thursday would be more rain than snow.
  18. Forecast for my area on Tuesday has changed so many times with the duration of snow. It’s always showed snow, and only light at that, but it keeps going from 1-2 hours to up to 6 and back a few times.
  19. Really hope so. The Metoffice forecast doesn’t make for good viewing for Thursday and Friday. I’m down for 5-6c and rain most of the day Thursday.
