Don’t even understand how there is even a sniff of a risk of snow for most places in NW England except the very tops, it’s 6c here, way too mild for frontal snowfall. We aren’t even in the ‘mild sector’ yet are we?
This wintry spell was no where near the let down that was last month’s, but still a little disappointing. Looks like tonight will be rain away from hills too, and even the strongest winds will be south of the region.
I spotted that. It was a mess. It was rain for a second, then snow and bits of rain, then all rain, within 2 hours haha! Don’t think their computers could handle it.
Didn’t someone say that the low needs to move over Wales and exit at the Wash to make our chances of snow happen? Isn’t that what some of the charts on 12z are now showing? (See Karyo’s post above)

The warnings state in the north of the area first, then this evening and overnight for the rest of the area. So there’s still plenty of time.
cherry picking of models/charts really is the reason for disappointment from a ‘too optimistic’ point of view. I’ve done it loads.
One chart the Karyo posted showed DPs remaining over night below 0 to 6pm tomorrow. So who knows?
