There’s just as much confidence today as there was yesterday really. West of the Pennines hasn’t been in any firing line yet, we need to wait to see if something develops.

It is better for the west of the region, these areas have been terrible for settling snow this year. I’ve had no more than a dusting this year. The least snow since moving here in early 2014.

I was right! Nothing since around 6:15pm. Doesn’t look like anything else will come through here either. At least areas that have struggled have had a decent covering. I’m sure my turn will be sometime in the next decade ?

Think we will miss the blob, and the showers to the west. Could be a relatively dry night.

The line from ‘the blob’ could provide thundersnow? It’s quite intense.

Showers breaking out in the Irish Sea again. The big area of snow is heading into Lancashire.

THe stuff in west Cumbria could bring a bit of snow to northern areas of the region. Think it might skip north of here though.

Spoke too soon, came down really heavy again, added more to the dusting on everything except pavements.

This second area of snow/hail is not as heavy currently.
