  1. I’d bank that than a rainy cold mess ? and anyway, that half a centimetre makes all the difference to some people ???
  2. Updated, upgraded and with another warning just out west of us of a further 0.5-5cm Tuesday day into Wednesday morning.
  3. Temp has been a steady 4.2-4.4c all afternoon. Only this last hour, it’s dropped to 3.5c.
  4. Recent Metoffice warning for Monday night and Tuesday seems to go for the fizzling out of the front, with SE areas of the region not in the warning. I’m just in it, so south and east of the M56 seems to be excluded. 1-3cm forecast.
  5. Metoffice seem to want to bring in milder air around Thursday next week, with rain. Still showing a spell of snow Tuesday morning though.
  6. This one does seem a little more promising than the marginal stuff we’ve had recently, but I’m definitely on the side of caution, as it could easily change. Once Monday night is 2 days away, I might change my view lol.
  7. Rain type radar shows rain for my location, yet it’s thick snow.
  8. 0.8c now and full mod/heavy snow and settling well. Temp dropped by 1c in 1.5 hours.
  9. gone down to 1.4c and flakes in with the rain. Might have an hour of this before it turns back to rain. Hills might do well temporarily.
  10. There’s an epic rain shadow this morning too lol. Will fill in as the rain comes I assume.
  11. A snow warning has just been issued for the western M4 corridor. Crazy!
  12. Just had a look outside, it’s still very icy out there but can’t see anything falling yet.
  13. Not so good on that one. Most of the region more than -4c 850’s by 10am.
  14. Nope! I’m not holding out any hope. Metoffice have me for a full rain event. It’ll be bitter tomorrow. I’m not going out. ?
  15. March 2013 was amazing when I lived in a Westhoughton, memorable for the snow, and also personal reasons. Mist has been thickening here since the rain cleared around 3pm. Interesting that Metoffice seem to think 1-2c all night here, it’s it’s already 0.4c and extremely icy.
  16. It’s gone clear now, quite surprised as it was so cloudy only an hour or so ago. A bit of mist forming. Maybe the temps can get cold enough for tomorrow’s sleet fest as best ?
  17. Hail and sleet this evening. BBC weather seemed to think chance of snow to lower levels tonight and tomorrow.
  18. Wind was awful last night, woke me up around 3am. Quite a streamer through the Mersey estuary and through the Cheshire Gap this morning.
  19. I actually don’t know. I’m surprised it’s sleeting as the air temp is 3.2c. I thought the milder uppers are here until morning, but Chris said earlier that as the wind isn’t off the Irish Sea yet, the uppers won’t matter as much. it started as pure rain, but can see the ice on the conservatory roof. It’s bouncing down too.
